I stayed one night at this hotel. HHI has a great location and the staff are also courteous. The room that I stayed in was spacious. The complimentary breakfast spread was good. However, the property needs better maintenence and upgrade. The TV in the room has a small screen. The lift doors make a lot of noise while closing. The lobby is small but more seating there would help.

From out side and lobby looks very nice but rooms are completely outdated bathrooms are falling apart.Outdated furniture,floor very dusty .We had seven rooms between 14 of us ,all rooms needs updating.

Rooms are old and not renovated. Paying a lot of money for old crappy room. The menu in the room is not updated. The price shown on the menu does not match with the in-room dining bill / check.

Our trip to this hotel was a mixed experience. Positives: This hotel has a great food selection, and if you visit when Arbaz is on duty, you will be sure to get excellent service, information about the food, and suggestions as to what to try according to your tastes. As an Australian visiting India, this helpful and friendly service was invaluable and added significantly to our positive experience. Arbaz earns 5 stars in my book for knowledge and service. Advice: We stayed in this hotel at either end of our trip to India. The room quality varies according to the floor level and renovation; it is worth checking your room before agreeing to unpack and stay in that particular room. Staff were accommodating when we requested a room change.

We stayed at HLL for 3 nights. Nice hotel at good location. I am impressed with all the staff whom we knocked upon. I wish to point out one staff at the mythh , the breakfast hall , his name is Arbaz. His service attitude was worth complimenting. I wish well to all staff n mgt a happy dassaara which we would miss badly.

I had booking from 14th-16th August at HHI, Kolkata with above mentioned booking ID and while booking I clearly mentioned my designation and I'm travelling with my Wife and hence there shouldn't be any complain , everything has to be proper and The day I visited and room we were alloted with was pathetic with shower not working and washroom dirty . Then by evening we got shifted to another room and the service was terrible . Despite the breakfast was completely and mentioned till 12 noon in room menu card , we went there around 10:45 and what they said is breakfast time is over and Why the hell they didn't call when they had the information about this ? What kind of service you people are providing ? There are n number of complains and I didn't said anything because of the people around and didn't want to make a scene about the hotel but 12K for this pathetic room and service I didn't paid for . I would have certainly taken legal action from my end and it wouldn't have good impact on the hotel . If that's how an officer get treated despite of mentioning, O could have done alot from my end but I didn't as it's gonna be my last stay at HHI and this hotel deserves not even 3 stars and I'll make sure to not visit it and the reason we had early checkout . DGM and GM needs to know this and if not, I'll personally talk about it . Disgusting !! One of the worst hotel I've visited so far and trust me on this some 3 star hotels provide way better service than HHI Kolkata.
