Kimpton HOTEL MONACO WASHINGTON DC by IHG

Good location and experience.

Beautiful old hotel which has been modernized to sparkle. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Close to the mall and the capital. Great restaurants in walking distance. Next to the Shakespeare theater for those that have interest

Please clean these rooms. I felt as if I was suffocating with all the dust on the light fixtures, headboard and carpet. The carpet is filthy. This is unacceptable after you've paid almost 1k per night. This is motel standard for a "luxury hotel ".

Great location, beautiful building but it's not worth it. Poor sanitary condition. Badly managed. There are better choices. Read all the 1-2 star reviews. They are accurate.

had an amazing stay at the Kimpton Monaco this weekend. The staff went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed throughout my visit. As a special birthday surprise, I was graciously upgraded to a room at no additional cost, which made my experience even more memorable. I have been staying at this hotel for over 10 years, and the level of service has always been exceptional. The consistency, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality keep me coming back year after year. Thank you to the entire team for making my birthday weekend so special.

The staff were friendly and provided good service, but it is not cost effective!

Nice hotel. The building was formerly a post office of the United States, built under Andrew Jackson. The first all marble building in DC. Clean room. Helpful and pleasant staff. Many restaurants and sightseeing areas nearby. Free drinks at 6 PM.

The entrance hall is misleading as everything from there is below expectations from very rude staff to smelly and old fashioned room. Not worth the price: there are a lot of better options around.
