Pier Blue Inn Old Saybrook - Essex

Not a nice property, room key did not work three times at check in and had to go to a different room.

Rooms were very clean staff very friendly and accommodating Parking was easy. Very convenient location Would stay again.

Lived my room- one queen bed, big bathroom, beautiful dinette very clean. I would recommend that room if I was going there again.

Hotel is outdated but clean and well kept, service was great. Great for a one or two night stay. I recommend it for families and especially if traveling with a pet.

The staff was delightful!!! We stayed for a week and it was in a good location with lots of restaurants and the beach is very close.

Good price for a nite in area..lovely front desk woman at check in and check out Room on ground floor smelled a bit musty and this am discovered only one coffee cup for 2 people...no biggie as there is the deightful & yummy Tea Kettle right across the street. Amazing breakfast choices & very friendly staff..goog thing as only coffee pot & refrigerator in room -could byo breakfast!

Check in was super easy. The hotel manager is wonderful! Very kind and accommodating! The room was fine for what I needed. Clean but a bit noisy but then again it is a beach town and it was the weekend! Only had 1 channel on the TV that worked but if you’re not there to watch TV it’s fine!😜 Great location close to good food and highway!

Lage room, Clean and comfortable bed. Bathroom could use updating and an elevated toilet seat. Staff very nice. Would stay again.

The place wasn't terrible and the staff was pleasant. The name and photos are misleading. This is basically a motel trying to seem like an inn or small hotel. It looks like the type of place that attracts a questionable clientele, but because it's Old Saybrook, they probably get a lot of wedding/event guests. The room itself was clean and pleasantly furnished, but the one easily accessible outlet was worn out and chargers kept falling out. The tub had a large crack in it (we did not use it). It was overall fine if you're staying for those reasons or a long distance travel break, but if you're looking for a couples weekend/nice place to stay, this isn't it.
