Stayed at a Garden Villa + Water Villa. The Garden Villa was nice, but the Water Villa was a bit old. The snorkeling environment was still quite good; saw sharks, turtles, and rays. The Thai restaurant was decent, but the other restaurants were just okay.

The room's privacy was excellent, and the food was superb – a truly unforgettable experience! The butler service was incredibly thoughtful and meticulous, with every detail handled and followed up on. The one-on-one Ctrip customer service was also very professional, arranging everything in advance, even coordinating our arrival from another island. They were even more reliable than a travel agent!

We stayed at Dusit Thani for 5 days, starting in a beach villa and then moving to an overwater villa. The hotel facilities were very old, the food was mediocre, and the water in the overwater villa had a sour smell. I especially want to highlight the chaotic management at Dusit Thani. On the second day, after breakfast, we noticed a strong smell of smoke and burning inside our room. Initially, we suspected a fire nearby and immediately called the hotel. However, the staff gave us a very perfunctory response, saying they would check. After waiting for almost an hour, no one came to inquire about our situation. We then started hearing intermittent drilling, wall-chipping, and the laughter of workers, indicating renovation. We called the front desk again, informing them that our neighboring room seemed to be under renovation. The smell and noise were significant, and we asked if the hotel could investigate. The hotel replied that it might be maintenance and would likely be over soon. However, two hours passed, and the continuous smoke, dust, and noise persisted. We then contacted both the booking platform and our island butler, and they both said they would look into it... Another hour went by, and finally, the butler arrived. He went next door and told the workers to stop. By this point, it had been 5 hours and 20 minutes since my first complaint to the hotel! So, we traveled all the way to the Maldives, paid 4,500 per person for seaplane tickets, only to inhale construction dust and endure renovation noise for an entire day. The management at Dusit Thani is truly appalling! This incident clearly reflects the irresponsibility of Dusit Thani's staff: 1. It was the off-peak season in the Maldives, with low occupancy. If the staff responsible for assigning rooms or scheduling renovations had been conscientious, they would never have assigned guests a room next to one undergoing renovation. 2. It took over 5 hours for someone to finally get the renovation workers next door to stop. This should have been a minor issue, resolvable within 5 minutes of a guest's complaint. But due to irresponsible staff, it dragged on for over 5 hours! Every time we contacted the hotel, we were met with perfunctory responses, and no one actually took action. The snorkeling at Dusit Thani was indeed decent, but for a renowned resort, such chaotic and inactive management is truly disappointing. I honestly do not recommend it! Especially with the current economic downturn, if the service industry lacks basic ethics and professionalism, how can it survive? Dusit Thani, not recommended, proceed with caution!

The scenery was absolutely stunning, a dreamy island! We practically snorkeled every day 😂. However, the buffet started to get a bit repetitive by the third day. Everything on the island was quite expensive. It's a shame we didn't get to see any manta rays 🥲. Overall, it was still an unforgettable experience.

When choosing a hotel in the Maldives, it's essential to pinpoint your priorities. Having previously stayed at a lagoon island in Fiji, and now seeing the stunning lagoons at Filitheyo in the Maldives, my focus for this resort experience was on the holiday vibe, dining, service, and snorkeling. Dusit Thani Maldives completely exceeded our expectations in all these aspects. The sea in front of the Ocean Villas was a true 'glass sea,' and the views from the various restaurants were also excellent. What truly stood out was the hotel's service, which surpassed any hotel I've stayed at before – incredibly attentive and thoughtful. I highly recommend Dusit Thani for those prioritizing a relaxing holiday. If you're new to island travel, consider choosing a lagoon island to experience breathtaking ocean colors.

It was simply amazing! We stayed in a waterfront villa, and while snorkeling right off our room, we encountered turtles and even sharks on the reef. All the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, making our stay truly wonderful. The food was also delicious.

Our first trip to the Maldives with the whole family, and we wanted to ensure good food and a seaplane experience. Overall, it was quite good; I even gained 4 pounds – truly a foodie island! I loved the bicycles on the island. It's close to the ocean trench, so snorkeling should be great. We saw many fish, but unfortunately no fish storms or sea turtles. The water under our 5-series overwater villa was very shallow and rocky at low tide, making it not very swim-friendly. However, it was calm. The 2-series overwater houses had waves that were too strong, also not suitable for swimming. There's almost no natural lagoon here, so if you're not a strong swimmer and want a beautiful lagoon, be cautious. But the Maldives is perfect for a getaway; it feels so isolated, returning to a pristine, authentic state. This is the first time I've come back from a trip and still wanted to research and plan for the next island!

Not ideal for snorkeling, but the room exceeded expectations, and the service was excellent. I recommend the all-inclusive meal plan. Plus, they didn't charge extra for mini-bar drinks at the end.
