This was our fifth stay at Barceló Punta Umbría Mar, and we were genuinely impressed by how much the hotel has improved since last year. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome. The thoughtful touches in our room and the care shown throughout our stay made it feel very special. The refurbishment has completely transformed the hotel. The rooms are beautiful, elegant and finished to a very high standard, with stylish and practical bathrooms. The reception, restaurant and outdoor areas also look fantastic, and the new restaurant layout feels much more spacious and comfortable. The gardens are beautifully maintained, the food was very good with plenty of choice, and the housekeeping team did an excellent job throughout our stay. The staff in general were warm, friendly and welcoming, and really helped create a lovely atmosphere. As always, English can sometimes be a little bit of a struggle with some members of staff, but this is what it is and there was never anything we could not work out between us. After a more disappointing experience last year, it was wonderful to return and see such a positive transformation. The hotel genuinely feels renewed, and we could not fault our stay. A very experience and a very happy fifth visit - thanks to Manuel for listening to our feedback prior to arrival and welcoming us with a bottle of cava and a personal note!!!!!
