The Palmer House Resort, Ascend Hotel Collection

Room was dusty ans did not appear to have been cleaned properly, had an allergy flair up. Found hairs in the bathroom. No other rooms available had to leave. Had to leave to another place. However staff was understanding, polite and tried to accommodate. It just didn’t work for us.

Location was perfect , convenient, near downtown. Room was great , spacious , beautiful views, indoor pool was nice and big and also the hot tub , the only thing I wish that the pool was heated, water was very cold . Breakfast was simple , not lots of variety My only dissatisfaction was housekeeping , they never showed In the 2 days of our stayed , , we have to request towels at the reception and throw the garbage ourselves , definitely have to do better on that . Overall love the location and the room .

Good value for being 20 minutes from Stratton. Pretty good breakfast. Nice rooms. Friendly helpful staff. Heard the pool and hottub were good, but we didnt have a chance to try them

The staff and maintenance services are great and the breakfast was really nice. However, the amenities area (separate building with the pool, hot tub and workout room) are dilapidated and require serious updating. I'm not sure these amenities should even qualify to be listed considering their condition they are in. This area moved the overall rating from 5 down to 4 stars.

Enjoyed the room for a night. Seemed clean and warm. Water could be hotter in the shower but was overall a good stay!

Our 2nd time staying here this season. We love it, perfect location to town and ski. Spotless rooms, microwave and fridge a bonus when kids are traveling. Rooms were so warm we turned off heat. Breakfast included. Check in and out very quick and friendly, we will absolutely stay again.

Couldn’t even get into my room the key card didn’t work and nobody was at the front desk to help. They just leave your key in an envelope with your name on it which isn’t very secure.

Pros: -Large room -Free breakfast (which was meh) Cons: -It is not a "hotel" it is a motel -Ran out of hot water -Ran out of toilet paper and staff unavailable -Key stopped working late at night and had to call on call staff. Happened to multiple people -there are front doors and back doors on each room. The front ones are not labeled so accidental knocking and opening of those frequently

The room was rough and smelled like ****. The toilet overflowed onto the floor. The staff was prompt in trying to fix it. When the couldn’t they gave us another room. This room the floor was destroyed and lifted, the plumbing did work though. And this room didn’t smell like ****. The outside lights were so bright it kept us up, along with the noise from the workers at the local ski mountain that were up all night. Not impressed at $345 for the night.
