Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong

We stayed in a suite on the 45th floor, which is an exclusive family-friendly floor, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The entire floor is dedicated to family-oriented rooms. Our room had its own little play area for kids, decorated in a fun and thoughtful way, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a spectacular panoramic view of Victoria Harbour. My child was so excited they didn't want to leave the room! The hotel also thoughtfully provided children's toiletries and a small toy, which were such warm touches. You absolutely must try the buffet breakfast at Café TOO on the 7th floor – the variety of food is dazzling! They have authentic Hong Kong-style撈麵 (lo mein), dim sum like siu mai, Western pastries, fresh-cut fruit, and even a special cartoon-themed dining area for kids. It caters to both adult tastes and children's preferences. Waking up early and enjoying a leisurely meal here is incredibly therapeutic, and with so many choices, you'll never get bored. The biggest highlight was the outdoor swimming pool on the 8th floor. It's a huge space, with separate lanes for adults and a splash park for kids. The water features are perfect for little ones to play in. Surrounded by lush greenery, you can swim while looking down at the city's high-rise buildings – the view is absolutely stunning. The water temperature was comfortable, and on a sunny day, the photo opportunities are incredible. It's perfect for both swimming and keeping the kids entertained. Overall, the facilities are excellent. The room, dining, and pool – the three core experiences – all exceeded expectations. It made our family trip so easy and comfortable. I highly recommend staying here for a family vacation in Hong Kong!

The kids' play area on the 45th floor even had children's wipes, which shows how thoughtful the service is. My kids absolutely loved staying in the pirate-themed room for two nights this time, and we're already planning to try a different themed room next time. A special shout-out to Duty Manager Li Yiyang for being incredibly efficient and quickly helping me resolve a problem. (After checking out, my taxi driver to the airport overcharged me 100 RMB for a tunnel fee and deliberately removed the license plate from the receipt. The hotel kindly helped me by checking surveillance footage to find the license plate number, which allowed me to file a complaint against the driver.)

The hotel's location is great, and they even gave us a small bear since we had a child with us.

The newly renovated sea view room was amazing, looking directly at Victoria Harbour and Tsim Sha Tsui – I didn't even want to leave! Hong Kong Park is just across the road, surrounded by lush greenery and definitely worth a visit. Admiralty is super convenient for getting anywhere. The old-school service is really comfortable. I'll definitely come back next time!

The room was very clean, spacious, and bright, with a beautiful city view from the window. Every staff member was incredibly warm and friendly, and the hotel's location is fantastic – right above a shopping mall and a MTR station. I would definitely choose Island Shangri-La again on my next trip to Hong Kong.

We booked a newly renovated room and had a good experience. The room was clean thanks to the housekeeping staff. The only downside of the new, smaller room type is the lack of a bathtub, but otherwise, everything was great.

The room was spacious and comfortable, a real luxury given its prime location in Central. Hong Kong Park is right downstairs, perfect for an evening stroll to catch the sunset, which was incredibly pleasant. What truly stood out was the Executive Lounge access; they offered meals and snacks throughout the day that were practically full meals themselves. For someone with a busy schedule, this provided a dining experience far superior to eating at home – I was incredibly impressed! The exquisite breakfast at Café on the 56th floor and the drinks, snacks, soups, salads, dim sum, and dishes at the 7th-floor lounge were all so refined and thoughtful. Not to mention the grand and abundant breakfast, which was the perfect start to my relaxed, leisurely time after a demanding work period. Thank you, I will definitely be back.

Shangri-La hotels always choose prime locations, and this one is no exception. It's backed by mountains and just a stone's throw from Victoria Harbour. The rooms are quite spacious, the staff are lovely with their sweet voices and excellent, enthusiastic service. The breakfast spread is fantastic, and the hotel's location makes everything from dining to accommodation and transportation incredibly convenient.
