I booked a pool room for two nights, but at check-in, they completely ignored my booking and gave me the shadiest, dampest corner room on the second floor. I was shocked when I got to the room, as the area, room type, and price were all completely different from what I booked! I went back to argue, and at first, they claimed there were no other rooms available. Their polite but utterly unhelpful attitude was infuriating! My English isn't great, so it's hard for me to argue, but this was truly outrageous. I insisted that I couldn't accept the room. Eventually, someone who seemed to be the lobby manager was called over. She still said there were no rooms available for that night and I'd have to stay in a different, slightly larger room in another area for one night (even though earlier she said all rooms were full and no upgrades were possible). Then, I'd move to a poolside room the next day, and they'd offer a complimentary dinner. I reluctantly accepted. Thai service is already slow, but this whole ordeal made check-in take over two hours – it was unbelievable! If I hadn't pushed so hard, I would have been stuck with their worst room. The hotel's location is relatively quiet, and the beach isn't crowded, but the service is absolutely **terrible**. You have to fight aggressively for your rights here! Trip.com is also weird; how can you book a room if they don't have any? It's a total rip-off. One star!
