The hotel boasts an exceptional location right in the heart of the Old City, directly opposite Wat Chedi Luang. It's just a short walk to the Sunday Night Market and numerous temples and restaurants, making it incredibly convenient for getting around without needing to plan transportation.
The hotel is steeped in Lanna charm. The high-ceilinged lobby displays traditional handicrafts, and the red-hued rooms are exquisitely eye-catching. The low-rise buildings are arranged around a courtyard, featuring lush gardens and a lotus pond. When the lanterns light up at night, it feels like a tranquil oasis amidst the bustling city, perfect for taking photos.
The rooms are spacious and clean, fully equipped with amenities like smart toilets, bathtubs, and capsule coffee machines. The complimentary mini-bar is a thoughtful and practical touch. Private balconies offer garden or pool views, showcasing the meticulous attention to detail.
Downsides:
1. The hotel is surrounded by schools, including one directly opposite. On weekdays, the noise is quite significant and can disturb rest.
2. Housekeeping required constant reminders. On our second day, even after turning on the service light, the room wasn't cleaned until 3 PM. Throughout our six-day stay, we had to repeatedly ask for service, and the bed linens were never changed. The room service experience was extremely poor.
3. The breakfast selection was limited and somewhat monotonous, failing to cater to diverse dietary preferences.
