Bellagio by MGM Shanghai on the Bund

I specifically chose this hotel for my trip, and my experience after checking in was absolutely fantastic, earning it a heartfelt five-star rating. Penny's reception was superb! She even prepared a birthday card, room decorations, and a cake. The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient access to transportation in all directions, making it exceptionally easy for sightseeing, shopping, dining, or commuting for business. Upon entering the lobby, you're greeted by an elegant ambiance; the overall decor is grand yet tasteful, and the public areas are consistently clean and tidy, making a great first impression. The front desk staff are professional and enthusiastic. Both check-in and check-out processes were efficient and quick, with no unnecessary waiting. When asking for directions or seeking assistance, everyone was patient and meticulous in their replies, treating guests with humility and politeness, showcasing their high service standards in every detail. The guest rooms are spacious with excellent natural light and ventilation, and the soundproofing is very effective, providing a quiet retreat despite being in a busy area. Room hygiene was impeccable; tabletops, floors, and bathroom corners were all spotless, with no hidden dirty spots. The bedding is soft and comfortable, and the mattress has just the right firmness. After a day of travel, lying down quickly helps you relax, leading to excellent sleep quality. The room is fully equipped with various facilities; appliances and bathroom amenities are well-maintained and provide an excellent user experience. The hotel's overall atmosphere is warm and pleasant; from the hardware facilities to the soft services, you can feel the thoughtfulness in every detail. My entire stay was comfortable and worry-free, and every aspect was flawless. This excellent hotel has already been added to my top choices, and I will definitely stay here again on my next visit. I sincerely recommend it to all fellow travelers.

This was my first time staying at Bellagio, and the experience was truly excellent. From the moment we got out of the car, the concierge proactively helped with our luggage. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming during check-in, and they even offered welcome tea and towels – a really nice touch! Ellie from guest relations contacted us a day in advance to note our requests. During check-out, Constance, the guest relations manager, was also very enthusiastic and even gave us a small gift, which I loved. I'll definitely be back!

I was very satisfied with the terrace view room I booked. It offered expansive views, especially at night. The hotel's location is convenient, right by the Suzhou Creek, perfect for a city walk, and it's a pleasant stroll to the North Bund. The breakfast was also delicious, a combination of à la carte and buffet, featuring Shanghai's iconic scallion oil noodles, with both Chinese and Western options available. The hotel service was excellent, and I particularly want to commend Ellie from Guest Relations. From pre-arrival communication to departure, Ellie was consistently warm and patient, proactively addressing my needs and coordinating efficiently, making the entire trip incredibly stress-free. Upon check-in, I was even offered pomelo-infused water and a wet towel, which shows just how thoughtful and attentive the service is.

What truly sets this hotel apart is its impeccable sense of appropriateness. While not a top-tier luxury brand, its mature management provides a comforting reliability, evident in everything from the elevator's ambient fragrance to the turndown service. What truly made this stay shine, however, was Ellie from Guest Relations. Her service was real-time, warm, and professional, always perfectly anticipating and meeting our needs. If you're looking to be as close as possible to Shanghai's most iconic views and desire gentle, polite service, this place will exceed your expectations!

The room was spacious and well-appointed with good quality fixtures, decorated in an old-money style. They provided plenty of bottled water, and the complimentary cake and fruit were delicious. While watching TV, I noticed the remote control was quite dirty (not a major issue though). When checking out, we found out the staff gave us the wrong breakfast time. On Sundays, it's served until 11 AM, but we were told 10:30 AM. We ended up sleeping in until 10:30 AM, perfectly missing breakfast. When I found out the truth, I almost cried! Since we had a high-speed train to catch, finding somewhere else to eat in time was stressful, and the more I thought about it, the angrier I got 😭

Our overall stay was fantastic! The front desk staff were warm and attentive, making the check-in process quick and hassle-free. The hotel's location is excellent, offering great convenience for getting around. Our room was spacious and elegantly decorated, a style I particularly enjoyed, making our stay very comfortable. The food was authentic and offered a rich variety of dishes. Many thanks to Penny and Gary—everything, from the service and location to the room and meals, was impeccable. It's truly great value for money, and I wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

I'm already a regular at Bellagio. I've stayed here dozens of times since it opened, and I'm usually too lazy to write reviews, but this time I really have to, because the service is truly outstanding. It's always been incredibly warm and welcoming. Special shout-out to Constance, the Guest Relations Manager, who pretty much grants every request, and if she can't, she'll go above and beyond to find a solution. The concierge team, despite being understaffed for a while, also tries their absolute best to help guests. Every single person at the front desk, both the guys and the ladies, is so enthusiastic. The housekeeping staff are lovely too; they always greet you with a smile and ask if you need your room cleaned, welcoming you back. Every time I return, it feels like coming home, and that's exactly what the welcome card says: 'Welcome Home.' No matter what, Bellagio will always be my top choice for travel and accommodation, and I'll support it all the way!

The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, making for a very quiet night's sleep. Housekeeping is on point, everything is spotless and fresh. Ellie, the staff member, was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The price is reasonable, and the overall experience was fantastic. Definitely worth a visit!
