I specifically traveled to Hangzhou to experience oriental aesthetics, and my stay at Shangri-La's Wanshuixinju was full of pleasant surprises. The hotel deeply integrates traditional Jiangnan Chinese style, with exclusive travel photography focusing on a Chinese aesthetic. Classic cheongsams and elegantly tailored new-Chinese outfits, paired with the garden scenery, exude an ancient charm. Switching to a casual, vacation-style long dress allows you to capture modern, relaxed shots by West Lake. In my spare time, I also got to experience Chinese tea ceremony, immersing myself in the allure of traditional Chinese culture while staying at the hotel. It's a double win for both culture and travel experience.

I just celebrated my mother's birthday at Zhishui Xinju, and I can't recommend this hidden gem enough. In my opinion, their attentiveness and dedication are truly world-class. From the moment we stepped in, we were amazed by the exquisite birthday decorations in our room. The butler and the service team are incredibly meticulous, anticipating and addressing every tiny need before we even had to ask. Our entire trip left the whole family feeling incredibly warm and cared for. Every staff member made us feel that this isn't just a luxurious hotel with high-end facilities, but a place filled with genuine human warmth. The butler's 24/7 impeccable care, anticipating guests' needs, and helping coordinate the evening's birthday dinner with all parties involved, was truly outstanding. I also have to praise the breakfast – it's absolutely top-notch, the best I've ever had in any hotel! What's even more impressive is the service; the staff somehow remembers everyone's preferences. When we went for breakfast on the second day, the waiter accurately recalled what we ate and what we liked to drink the day before. This feeling of being so thoughtfully looked after adds so much to the experience! The hotel pool is breathtakingly beautiful and perfect for photos; you just want to spend the whole day there. The pool coaches are also super enthusiastic and even took the initiative to help my mom and me correct our swimming postures, both professional and friendly. This birthday experience made my mom absolutely delighted. We will definitely come back if we get the chance! Thank you to all the staff! Everything was just perfect!

Travel isn't just about sightseeing; it's about experiencing the culture of a city, where you stay, and the people you meet. I'm so glad I chose Shangri-La Water Side Zhixin Residence by West Lake for this trip. The Private Travel Master team, including Heidi, Sam, Vanessa, Gina, and Tommy, helped resolve all sorts of issues throughout my stay. I really appreciate their non-intrusive service – they were there when needed, which was perfect. The hotel's decor and design blend seamlessly with the West Lake scenery. The breakfast was outstanding, and although I didn't have time to experience the hotel's cultural classes, I'm sure they are very thoughtfully prepared. I have one small suggestion, though it doesn't diminish my five-star rating. The hotel partners with Sisley for toiletries, but the shampoo and shower gel come in small travel-sized bottles, which aren't very convenient to use. While Sisley doesn't offer larger bottles for sale, brands like Le Labo and Diptyque provide full-sized amenities for hotels like Park Hyatt and Mandarin Oriental, which are much more convenient to use. Perhaps this is something to consider. Overall, it's the top choice for experiencing the beautiful scenery of West Lake when visiting Hangzhou.

This luxury stay right on West Lake truly lives up to its reputation! When we checked in, the front desk attendant upgraded our room type. We had booked two rooms, and they thoughtfully arranged connecting rooms for us beforehand, making it easy for the elders to look after the children. This considerate and attentive arrangement immediately made a great impression. While playing with our child in the lobby, we met Will Xiaozhai from Guest Relations. He gave our child a beautiful and exquisite mandarin duck doll, which our child absolutely adored. After checking out, Xiaozhai even escorted us to the parking lot. Since we had a lot of luggage with the baby and needed time to organize, we told Xiaozhai not to wait with us. Nearly fifteen minutes later, we assumed Xiaozhai had moved on to other tasks, but to our surprise, as we drove past the lobby entrance after organizing everything, we saw Xiaozhai still patiently waiting by the door. He proactively waved goodbye to us, which was incredibly heartwarming! This is not a forced or perfunctory service, but rather a perfectly balanced and thoughtful attentiveness that completely exceeded our expectations. This level of meticulous sincerity alone makes it absolutely worth a special return visit!

The room was very comfortable, and the service from front desk staff Xiaojia and Li Yan was excellent. The food on the first floor was delicious, and the hotel environment was fantastic. They even offer a pick-up and drop-off service. The gym on the first floor was great, as was the bar. Breakfast was semi-buffet style with top-notch quality.

Had a fantastic weekend getaway! The hotel's public spaces, designed by a master, are elegantly luxurious. The restaurant environment is comfortable, and the guest room experience truly reflects the hotel's sincere service through its attention to detail. The smart bed left a particularly deep impression, and the tableware in all the restaurants was a delight to behold. Plus, the rooftop garden offers breathtaking panoramic views of West Lake.

Staying at the Shangri-La Shui Zhixin Residence was an experience of true six-star-plus quality. Both the soft and hard facilities here meet international first-class standards: the 1,930 willow leaf decorations in the lobby were designed by a renowned Italian artist, and the fountain, crafted by master Zhu Bingren, cleverly blends the artistic concepts of 'Qu Yuan Feng He' (Winding Garden with Lotus in Summer) and 'Liu Lang Wen Ying' (Orioles Singing in the Willows) from the Ten Scenes of West Lake. The hardware configuration is truly top-notch globally. The entire service staff, from the front desk to the personal butlers, were exceptionally warm and attentive, with a service standard far exceeding six stars. Breakfast offered a rich variety of dishes with exquisite presentation, demonstrating thoughtfulness in every single item. The seafood in the Chinese restaurant was fresh and delicious. The hotel's clay sculpture and enamel crafting experience classes were a delightful surprise; the instructors were all inheritors of intangible cultural heritage and master artisans, allowing guests to learn traditional crafts and cultivate inner peace. The rooftop observation deck offers unparalleled views, with the scenic beauty of West Lake fully visible, and the Baochu Pagoda and Leifeng Pagoda appearing close at hand. All drinks, snacks, nuts, and teas in the room's mini-fridge were complimentary, a thoughtful detail that truly showed care. I spent a very pleasant holiday here.

The overall decor is very stylish, and the hotel offers plenty of activities so you won't get bored. The breakfast, a combination of à la carte and buffet, is quite good. Everything was generally nice. My only suggestions would be to offer freshly squeezed juice and to improve the scallion oil noodles, as they weren't very tasty.

The hotel's location is fantastic, right by West Lake and the Su Causeway. The room decor is very elegant, and you can see West Lake directly from the room. Our butler, Gina, provided excellent service. She added us on WeChat before we even checked in, and we could easily communicate with her via WeChat throughout our stay, receiving prompt replies.
