Ardtara Country House

Our brief stay was thoroughly enjoyable thanks to the welcoming and helpful staff. The room was cosy and comfortable, quiet and well furnished. The cuisine is exciting and varied with excellent choices including old favourites and some novel touches. All in all a most enjoyable visit. Love to come back in th spring.

We spent a lovely couple of days in Ardtara. The staff are wonderful, the food is delicious and the house is beautiful. Our room was gorgeous with a beautiful fire which gave it a lovely cosy atmosphere. Seán was extremely attentive and nothing was too much trouble! Thank you Sean and the staff.

Stayed for 3 nights for our anniversary. Enjoyed an amazing afternoon tea on day of arrival, dinner menu on the second night and bar menu on the third. All of the food was excellent and presented by great friendly staff who were always available to help. Our room overlooked the front garden with plenty of room and a large bathroom all kept clean during our stay. Enjoyed the gas fire in the room and the shower was great. Overall an enjoyable stay, thank you to everyone.

Fabulous Country House set in beautiful surroundings. As you arrive the welcome is immediate with a lovely fire lit in the hallway which was perfect on a cold wet windy day. The staff are very friendly and helpful, our bags were carried to our room. The bedrooms are lovely, again a fireplace with a beautiful gas fire created a lovely warm atmosphere. We booked the tasting menu which was fantastic from beginning to end. The waiting staff were knowledgeable and explained each course professionally. The snug bar and lounge are really comfortable with an excellent menu from cocktails to champagne. This was our second time staying and we will definitely be back.

Recently stayed in Ardtara as usual it was excellent from entering the staff are so warm friendly and welcoming . The bedrooms are so comfortable and the food is exceptional. If it's total peace and quite you are looking for Ardtara is the place to go .

My husband and I, along with another couple, have stayed numerous times at Ardtara over the past couple of years. The staff are wonderful - welcoming us like family every time we go - the food is excellent and the beds are super-comfy. This is the ideal place for a relaxing overnight stay - or longer if you can! - and I can highly recommend the "lazy Sunday" dinner bed & breakfast package (especially the porridge with whiskey cream & honey for breakfast) - worth taking Monday off work for!

We had Afternoon Tea today and it was absolutely perfect. The food was perfection and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We were a group of five and were able to chat without being rushed and had plenty of tea and coffee refills. Take home boxes were provided and it is certainly an experience that will be revisited.

Attentive staff, amazing food and authentic atmosphere. We are never disappointed and plan to return again.

Excellent service! Wonderful ambience! Gourmet food at its best! From the minute we walked through the door we were greeted by lovely Leeanne who made us feel so welcome. And a big shout out to Sean who effortlessly looked after our every need where nothing was too much bother. We enjoyed relaxing in our beautiful room, warming ourselves in front of the fire. Not too many hotel rooms can boast of this luxury! My husband and I are already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend Ardtara.
