Terra Dominicata - Hotel & Winery

A truly extraordinary place to slow down, breathe and simply enjoy the beauty of Priorat. ❤️ We had the pleasure of staying at Terra Dominicata, and it is difficult not to fall in love with this very special place. Set in such a beautiful and peaceful corner of the Priorat, surrounded by vineyards and the Montsant landscape, it feels like a little sanctuary where time slows down and you can genuinely switch off. Everything is beautifully thought through, but what makes the experience even more special is the people. The staff are warm, passionate and genuinely attentive — always present when needed, yet never intrusive. You can feel the pride they take in creating a memorable stay, and that makes a huge difference. ❤️ The hotel itself is simply stunning, and the whole atmosphere is one of quiet luxury, peace and authenticity. A perfect base from which to discover the incredible wines, landscapes and villages of Priorat — and equally wonderful to simply stay, relax and enjoy the surroundings. A small note for improvement: for a place of this level, we felt the WhatsApp communication/response could perhaps be a little more attentive and polished. And while we enjoyed the restaurant, we also feel that the cuisine could be elevated another step to truly match the exceptional standard of the hotel, its setting and its wines. That said, these are small details in an otherwise beautiful and memorable experience. Terra Dominicata is a very special place, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for peace, beauty, wine and a little bit of heaven in Priorat. 🍷🌿❤️ A wonderful place — and one we would happily return to.

Quiet and off the beaten path. Unique luxury hotel amid the rolling hills. Can’t beat the views from the outdoor lounge and pool.

We stayed at Terra Dominicata for 4 nights and can’t wait to return. It was a wonderful few days of delicious food, wine and relaxation. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The service from reception and the restaurant was generally excellent and we enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners every day. We also enjoyed a wine tasting, a massage, and lounging by the pool. For a hotel of this quality/price, our only gripe was the hot drink experience at breakfast. Given the delicious food available (including freshly cooked egg dishes to order) and the attentive service offered, it was rather disappointing to have to queue with other guests at a generic coffee machine to make a basic coffee or obtain hot water for tea. The breakfast experience would be much improved by offering a proper hot drink service.

Exceptional location in a beautiful property with top notch, friendly service. We especially enjoyed wine selections and pairings at dinner. We will return!

We spent two nights here having seen the amazing views in the hotel website. The hotel is incredible in every respect and very relaxing. The landscape views from the hotel, and along the winding road to reach it, are spectacular. We did not explore the area much as we are not hikers and the Scala Dei monastery was not open when we drove by it. However, we did do the hotel wine tasting which was very informative and enjoyable. The swimming pool looked lovely but the water was too cold to swim while we were there. With the winding roads and lack of other dining options nearby, we ate all our meals at the hotel. Fortunately, the breakfast and dinner at the hotel were outstanding in terms of service and tasty foods. The breakfast buffet was especially good. We had a room near the lobby, which we had requested due to accessibility issues. It was very quiet and comfortable. We were impressed by the care and artistic nature of the decorations as well as the size of the room and bathroom. Overall, we had a wonderful time and were very impressed by the hotel and its wonderful staff, who were all very professional and welcoming.

We enjoyed how Terra Dominicata is in a scenic spot in the heart of Priorat, close to many wineries and with easy access to beautiful hikes/walks. We walked from the hotel to the monastery and Cellar Escaladei, and it was lovely. Our room was very comfortable, and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet and spa area, as well as the wine tasting on-site. However, there are a few areas of critique, considering the 3 Michelin Key rating. Firstly, the pool is not heated, and there is no fitness center onsite, so it’s hard to truly consider this a “wellness” hotel. There are also no tvs in the room, but they do offer iPads upon request to make up for this. Finally, the restaurant food could have been better and became repetitive for a three night stay. The hotel was able to arrange a taxi for us to dine off-site, which was great. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
