Gold Star Inn & Suites

The staff at the Gold Star Inn was very polite and professional. The room was a bit dated but it's cleanliness and quietness made up for it. I stayed 2 nights and will be returning in November for another business trip.

I reserved a jacuzzi suite based on online photos. The room we got did not look like the photos. The suite was a large room divided by a plywood structure that was painted blood red. The jacuzzi was stained and unappealing. The kitchenette lacked anything to use for food preparation. There were only empty drawers and cabinets. There wasn’t even a coffee maker. Reception was polite, but the whole place seemed to also be serving as housing. We were disappointed.

The hotel smells like cigarettes and is run down. My room was dirty and falling apart. I paid $174 for one night.. I rented the luxury room with a jet tub. The tub tile was cracked everywhere and didn’t look safe to sit in, it also had hair all in the drain. I did not feel comfortable staying the night. I did not receive a refund.

While the basic room is spacious, the entire place is outdated and feels dirty. The bedspread had cigarette holes in several places, the ceiling tiles are rusty and stained, the sink didn’t even have a catch stopper, the stovetop in the kitchenette was covered with foil and no burner exists. There’s a living room with no tv and the tv in the bedroom has a fuzzy picture. I felt like I was transported back in time in this place. The bed was ok and the a/c worked so I made do, but I’ll never stay there again. With no coffee machine and tiny old towels, I didn’t even want to try the shower so I left as soon as possible to go find breakfast nearby. This felt like a $60 motel but I paid $108 for it.

Everything was fine just needs a more of a remodel, everything seemed old. The TV was barely working, the tub was clean but then when I turned on the whirlpool it got dirty. Hallway smelled weird but the room was fine.

Me and a few friends have been coming here for the past 6 or 7 years and will continue to come here. It's starting to show some wear, the shower was badly patched, but overall it is a great place to stay and it is clean, and the staff is there when you need them.

Clean room, friendly and accommodating staff especially when my friend needed a blow dryer for her hair. Conveniently located and very affordable. Great spot to rest your head without spending an arm and a leg. Absolutely would stay again.

Needs updating. Very old. I would stay again . Very large room.
