Khaled's Camp - Wadi Rum

Khaled’s camp is the perfect desert experience of Bedouin culture: food cooked the traditional way and enjoyed around a fire, under a universe of stars. The hosts are all members of Khaled’s family and are happy to share their lives and stories with their guests. The tents are clean and comfortable, with a clear side (covered by curtains), which allow you to continue gazing across the vast plain from dusk to dawn. Khaled communicates well, meets guests in the town and then transfers them into the desert, to the camp (and back, at the end of the stay). Everything is easy, nothing is rushed. This is Bedouin hospitality. Come into the desert with Khaled and live with the family. It is, after all, what you came for.

The best place to be , the way Khaled communicated from the beginning to his hospitality and curating custom tours, with his amazing sense of humor I highly highly recommend, I extended my stay from 1 night to 2 nights , was even thinking of staying more as the place, ambience and hospitality is surreal. I would definitely visit again and do more hikes, stargaze again, try the authentic bedouin dinner, just stay at peace watching sunrise and sunsets. Humility and hospitality at its best.

From the first email to our final goodbye, Khaled made sure we had a great experience. Very quick to respond to our questions before arrival. All of our needs were well taken care of during our tour and stay. The camp is wonderful, the food is amazing, the bedoiun tea so good. The tour itself was in a vintage landcruiser with a roof top you could ride on as well and our whole group LOVED being able to take turns riding up there through the desert. When we left it was just like saying goodbye to family. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience.

I HIGHLY recommend everyone takes this tour when visiting the Wadi Rum. We had a group of 9 that went on this tour, and every single one of us said that this was the highlight if our trip. Khaled and his team are the best in the business. Khaled was very responsive when we were trying to get our tour booked. When we arrived Khaled and his team greeted us and gave us a place to park our cars and took all of our luggage to transport to the camp site for the night. We then started our tour and had so much fun sitting on the roof of the truck and taking in all the amazing views of the Wadi. We made many stops throughout the day including hiking spots, sand boarding, and a After a super fun day of adventure we arrived at camp where they showed us to our tents for the night that had running water and a bathroom IN the tent!! They also had tea ready for us upon arrival. While they finished preparing our dinner we sat in the beautiful camp enjoying our tea and unpacking our day. When foo was ready they showed us how the food was prepared UNDER the ground, it was so cool. Shout-out to the chef, the food was phenomenal. We sat around the fire chatting with Khaled and his team as we all had dinner together. We ended the night with some more tea over the fire and had a very cozy and comfy night sleep. The next morning Khaled arranged for us to do a camel ride on the way home. The camel ride was so nice and peaceful. everything went so sooth thanks to Khaled. Everyone NEEDS to do this tour. The service at this camp was excellent, and we had a very meaningful time. In particular, the owner, Khaled, showed us extremely warm and reliable hospitality, and it seemed to wash away all of the fatigue and anxiety we had during our stay. Furthermore, our guide, Badal, was a wonderful young man, full of humor, and always kindly and strongly encouraged us, making this the best tour we've ever had. We called him the "Prince of the Desert" (although he didn't realize it, as we called him Prince in Japanese). The meals, at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, were traditional and delicious, and we ate plenty of them. Khaled's Camp is truly wonderful, and we highly recommend staying there when you're in Wadi Rum. こちらのキャンプはサービスが素晴らしく、大変有意義な時間を過ごすことが出来ました。 とくに、オーナーのKhaledのおもてなしは非常に温かく、頼りがいがあり、滞在中の疲労や不安が全て洗い流してくれるようでした。 さらに、ガイドのバダルは素晴らしい好青年で、ユーモアにあふれ、常に私たちを優しく、そして力強く励まし、最高のツアーにしてくれました。私たちは彼を「砂漠の王子様」と呼んでいました(日本語で王子様と呼んでいただので本人は気づきませんでしたが)。 食事も、朝、昼、夕ともに、伝統的な料理で、たいへん美味しく、たくさんいただきました。 Khaled's Campは本当に大変素晴らしく、Wadi Rum滞在時のご利用を是非おすすめいたします。

The camp is very beautifully located - perfect for sunset views. It is also not too big, which makes the whole experience more authentic and enjoyable. Having some tea around the fire in the evening was a great way to relax after a long day of sightseeing in the desert. We had a luxury room, which was clean, warm, cozy and with a perfect view from the bed. For dinner we had the famous zarb, the food was delicious and plenfitul, both in the evening and at breakfast. We also did the one-day tour organized by Khaled, a wonderful experience including so many interesting stops, small hikes and fabolous views. Everything was great, highly recommend this camp!

We had an absolutely amazing stay in the camp. The tents/rooms have an incredible view and the camp has a lovely vibe with a camp fire, great spots for the sunset and traditional Bedouin food (which Khaled shows you how they cook). The camp are extremely welcoming and ensure you get the experience you want, whether that is sitting around the camp fire and chatting or star gazing on your own. The jeep tour is great and very affordable compared to other options. I would highly recommend. Khaled is very amenable around picking you up and driving to the camp and works around your timings. I would highly recommend staying here !

Best guide ever, outstanding Bedoin dinner and magic sunset location. What else can you ask? I can only recommend it to anyone.

I had an amazing time at Khaled's camp. I stayed for two nights and did the full day jeep tour which was amazing - the photos you see of Wadi Rum, while beautiful can never convey the full spectacular awesomeness of the desert in reality. Khaled was a great host. He was knowledgeable, helpful, flexible and funny - I was impressed with the way he spent extra time with his guests, particularly helping me with my astrophotography. The food on both nights was excellent and varied, breakfasts were nice too. I booked with Khaled because most of the other camps that I saw advertised on TripAdvisor didn't appear to cater for solo travellers and that made the price prohibitively expensive. But when I contacted Khaled he was very flexible and happy to accommodate me alone. Absolutely no complaints or regrets 🤩
