My experience this time was truly awful. I've always had a soft spot for Capella, and I absolutely loved the Capella in Singapore, but the Bangkok one left me utterly disappointed. Seriously, so disappointed. I booked a villa for my three-day stay. On the first night, I killed over a dozen mosquitoes. I'm already a light sleeper and usually need sleeping pills, yet I was up until 6 AM swatting all the mosquitoes in the bedroom. The next day, I asked the hotel if I could switch rooms. The front desk said there were no suites available. I then said any other room would be fine, even a standard room, as long as it wasn't an isolated villa and was located in the main hotel building. To their credit, they messaged me that afternoon saying I could switch rooms that evening. After I moved, however, my new room wasn't cleaned for the remaining two days of my stay. No more mosquitoes, but no fresh towels or tissues either. Capella used to be one of my favorite and most anticipated hotels, but this experience truly let me down.
