Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa, Waikiki Beach

Initially, we were very satisfied with our stay. We had a sea-view room with a small balcony directly facing the beach and the ocean, which was fantastic. Our room also had two rocking lounge chairs and a small table on the balcony, making it incredibly pleasant to relax and watch the sunset and beach every day after returning to the hotel. The hotel staff, including the front desk, cleaning ladies, and pool area management, were all excellent. The only downside was the really poor soundproofing; there was absolutely no privacy. I tapped the wall by the headboard, and it sounded hollow, not a solid brick wall. We could clearly hear conversations from next door. We stayed for 4 nights, and a couple next door (whether married or not) put on an 'adult show' every day for those 4 days. It was like a live broadcast, just without the visuals, but the audio was crystal clear! I was truly speechless! It severely impacted our sleep, and sometimes we were woken up early by the 'ghostly' noises next door. Everything else was great, but the terrible soundproofing prevents me from giving a perfect score.

The room was tiny! And the bathroom was even smaller! Definitely not suitable for a family with children. Check-in took forever, with long queues, and the front desk staff were quite unhelpful. They gave me a different room than the one I booked and kept insisting it was correct, even after I questioned them repeatedly. In the end, I had to pay extra to get the room I actually booked. Breakfast was even worse! You have to register first, then wait in line for your number to be called, which takes about 10-15 minutes before you can even eat!

The most iconic hotel on Waikiki Beach.

The hotel's location is unbeatable, right outside the window is Waikiki Beach, and next door is the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, which is super convenient. However, to be honest, the room facilities are really old. The window only opens a crack, and the shower water pressure is very low. The day after we checked in, we wanted to check out early and switch hotels, but since we had already paid in advance, they wouldn't allow early cancellation, so we had to tough it out for three nights.

Great views, the hotel has a historic feel, and the location is excellent, super close to the beach.

The hotel's location is excellent and very convenient. Getting around is also a breeze. Since this hotel just opened in 2025, the facilities are still in great condition.
