InterContinental Hotels CHIANG MAI THE MAE PING by IHG

I stayed here for a week and the hotel was excellent in every aspect. The pool was very clean and got sun all day, perfect for tanning. The staff were also incredibly enthusiastic and helpful. The gym could use a few more pieces of equipment, like a power rack.

The InterContinental Chiang Mai is perfect for families with kids. It's a quiet place with a large, lush garden, offering plenty of space for children to play. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the service is attentive and thoughtful, with staff being very friendly towards little ones. The breakfast has a wide variety of choices, and its convenient location makes getting around easy. It's an excellent choice for a family vacation.

Terrible. I'm usually not one to leave reviews, but this was exceptionally bad. First, the room was tiny – the smallest InterContinental I've ever stayed in. Second, despite staying for two days and requesting cleaning three times, housekeeping never came! I called three times to ask for the room to be cleaned and arranged times with the front desk three times, only to return to the hotel each time and find it still hadn't been cleaned??? It takes some nerve to ignore a guest three times! And they didn't even replenish the amenities. To top it off, no apology whatsoever!!! Who allowed you to get away with this? Also, the air conditioning was extremely noisy at night. Breakfast was awful too; the eggs were ice cold, like they'd just been pulled from the fridge. The tea bar staff were very mean. In summary: it's truly terrible, don't bother coming here to get frustrated. The bar isn't worth visiting either, the view is just as pictured (meaning, nothing special).

The front desk and doormen were all very welcoming, offering standard five-star service. The room size is smaller than a Marriott, but the design is well-thought-out. The pool is beautiful, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of items, though the taste is average, and the fruits are all common and inexpensive types.

The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. The staff were warm, attentive, and very helpful. I also got to see Teresa Teng's former room, which is still preserved exactly as it was. I hope they keep it that way. Forever missing the goddess.

The hotel room was spacious and bright. The staff at the front desk were all good-looking and very friendly. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and the made-to-order egg dishes were particularly delicious. The hotel's location is excellent, close to both the night market and the old city. There's a Thai street food stall at the night market that I highly recommend.
