Iriarte Jauregia

The hotel is beautiful, full of character The location is a bit remote, however the drive was worth it  The Michelin restaurant in the hotel is incredible  Don’t expect much amenity in the room , just basic compared to other 5 stars hotel chain

This is a really lovely hotel. The building is full of character it’s in beautiful countryside, the staff are so friendly and the food excellent.

What a fantastic place! One of the best hotels we have stayed in in Europe. Beautiful quiet position overlooking a pretty mountain valley. Remote but only a few miles from the motorway. Friendly staff. Wonderfully restored seventeenth century palace. Our room was spacious with superbly comfortable bed and good air conditioning. Garden with loungers was so peaceful. The breakfast buffet offered both hot and cold food and sitting having breakfast on the terrace was lovely. The food was special. The 8 course tasting menu in Bailara was superb - every course a delight to both the eye and taste buds. The meals in the Bistro were also good less refined meals. Couldn't fault anything at all and wished we could have stayed longer.

Enjoyed two nights in air conditioned comfort. Good size room and spacious bathroom. Bistro was average with food served too lukewarm for my taste. Worth mentioning that despite having 4 EV charging points in car park these were only operational by downloading My Porsche app despite not having one! We gave up with the fiddly app and charged elsewhere. Staff were pleasant and friendly. I would stay there again.

Amazing property with spacious and clean rooms, bistro was excellent and service was very friendly and professional

I rarely leave reviews but have to praise all involved in our short stay. Location is beautiful, and the hotel likewise. Staff are efficient but genuinely engaging with it. Food is fantastic leaving me frustrated that we only booked for one night. All in all a fantastic experience at a very reasonable price, hence the review!

This is more than five star. I’ve been back three times. Once, we canceled a later hotel and went back to this one. Charming. Quiet. Food is superb. Walking up to the Mensikunute castle ruin in the early morning was a highlight as well as walking the adorable village area or enjoying the patio solitude and views.

Hotel nicely located in the hills. Room well-proportioned and comfortable. Restaurant food was good and service was first class. Only stayed one night but would serve as a useful base for those wishing to explore the Basque countryside.

Lovely hotel in peaceful setting. Great food. Would benefit from a pool.
