El Porxo B&B

Stayed at El Porxo on the way from Barcelona to France. The property far exceeded our expectations. The rooms were beautifully furnished and equipped with walk in shower and robes. Xavier our host was extremely helpful offering us drinks, making restaurant bookings and organising taxis. The view from the living was stunning and the house had a lovely garden.

El Porxo is a beautiful home/bed and breakfast in a quiet neighbourhood about 20 mins walk (5 mins bus or drive) outside the city centre. The neighbourhood has good restaurants and shops. Hosts are wonderfully welcoming and the breakfast is incredible.

Stayed at El Porxo for two nights after our son's wedding in Girona. I have never stayed in a B&B so clean and tidy. Incredible. Clearly a huge amount of effort goes into the daily upkeep. The owners must have spent a lot of money on this place as it was incredible. The grounds were immaculate too. Very homely feel inside as well. Chabby, the owner, is a superb host - very friendly and helpful. The pool has plenty of sunbeds and shade too. Breakfast was delicious too. We will definitely stay again. Highly recommended

El Porxo is a beautifully furnished house with excellent beds, bed linen, towels, dressing gowns and slippers. Everywhere is super clean, including the large pool. Lovely well maintained gardens to relax in and a gorgeous dining terrace. The owner is delightful. We’ll definitely return if we come back to Girona.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights in a well designed room at this gorgeous property. The best part was the incredibly kind and helpful host, Xavi, who offered guidance for many aspects of our touring in the area. Though it was too cool for us to use the pool, we enjoyed the beauty of their gardens. The common areas are lovely, where we enjoyed wine and snacks graciously served by Xavi, and the breakfast at his dining room table was outstanding. Girona is a great destination and a wonderful base for touring the beautiful countryside.
