Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur

The hotel is a bit old, and the facilities are showing their age. Every day, the air conditioning vents emitted different perfume scents, some tolerable, some not. Breakfast was typically 'white people food' (basic Western-style); there were no freshly cooked noodles or wontons. However, getting around was very convenient, with direct access to various subway stations and rail hubs.

This is a business hotel with excellent service. **Location:** It's located right above Central Station, which makes getting around incredibly convenient. There's also a shopping mall nearby with plenty of dining options, and it's close to the National Museum. **Cleanliness:** Spotless and hygienic, as expected from Marriott's consistent standards. **Facilities:** Quite new and modern.

The front desk staff at Le Méridien were warm, attentive, and had a great attitude. They could speak Chinese and even provided Chinese service menus. The hotel also gave us complimentary drink and ice cream vouchers. My child lost their backpack in the hotel's public restroom and we only realized an hour later. When we inquired at the front desk, they had already safely kept it for us, which was a huge relief! The hotel has a swimming pool connected to the adjacent Hilton, complete with a slide. We took our kids there in the evening when it wasn't crowded, and they had a fantastic time. We had an early flight to Penang and breakfast only started at 6:30 AM. We asked the front desk if we could pre-order, and to our surprise, the hotel prepared a generous breakfast spread for us, including bread, milk, and eggs – so thoughtful! The only downside is that the hotel is located near the central station, which is convenient for transportation, but being on the station-facing side meant the sound of trains coming and going affected our sleep.
