Although the hotel is located in Kurokawa Onsen, it's only a 5-minute walk from the express bus stop, and the roads are easy to navigate. The hotel doesn't offer a free shuttle service and there's no elevator, which can be inconvenient for guests with large luggage. The room was spacious and clean, and the bedding was very comfortable. Free instant noodles, iced water, and other amenities were provided. There was a slight woody smell in the bathroom, but it was acceptable. Guests can use the hot springs at the main building for free, and it's only a two to three-minute walk away, which is very pleasant and convenient. Overall, it offers great value for money.

Beautiful place, very spacious room with a toilet and sink inside. You can also dress up in various yukatas for free to stroll around the village. The staff are kind and helpful.

Such a spacious room! Strolling through the romantic Kurokawa Onsen town in a yukata, then heading to the main building for a lovely hot spring soak when tired. And to top it off, watching the starry sky from the top floor while drifting off to sleep to the sound of flowing water! Truly magical.

This was my favorite area from this trip. As soon as you get off the express bus and walk down a bit, this is the first accommodation you see. Although there are separate main and annex buildings, I was able to enjoy the main building's hot spring once with a ticket, so I went there in the morning. The service was excellent, and the staff were all very kind, which made me feel great. The main building felt more like a hotel, while the annex had a stronger ryokan (Japanese inn) feel. The front desk and the multi-bath in the annex were clean and nice, but the room itself had a strong smell of rotting wood? I couldn't quite place the smell. Nevertheless, the trip itself was so satisfying that it overshadowed this minor issue. Most shops in the village seemed to close by 5 PM, and it was very quiet and dark. There's one small convenience store nearby that closes at 10 PM, so if you're planning a trip here, I recommend finishing your day early.

Great service! The local dishes for breakfast were especially delicious. They offer free coffee and tea at the front desk, and it's not far from the bus stop.

The location is convenient, and if you're driving, you can park downstairs or in the free public parking lot next door. Our room was on the second floor with no elevator, but it had a private toilet and complimentary instant noodles. You have to make your own bed, and the mattress and pillows were a bit yellowed. Showering requires using the public bathhouse, which is not very large. Right outside the hotel, there's a free foot bath, and for a proper hot spring experience, you can use the main building's facilities, a 3-minute walk away, for free. The hotel staff seemed a bit cold. My family wasn't feeling well and wanted to check in early to rest, but they refused. We also couldn't get extra bottles of water and had to fill our own thermos at the lobby water dispenser. After 8 PM, the staff go off duty, and if the water dispenser runs out, no one refills it. Overall, the value for money is decent.

Big and spacious room! Only issue I had is the public bathhouse hahaha got a culture shock when I realised there’s no shower in the room then I realised it’s public 😂 Luckily there wasn’t anyone when I was showering but you could also use the onsen facilities in Yukyonohibiki Yusai (2mins walk) Free cup noodles and water in the room with coffee machines in the recep area Overall a pleasant stay and would recommend if you’re driving (There’s not much in the onsen village imo so better to drive a lil out to eat) but if ure planning to stay in the village only I’d recommend staying in a proper hotel with full facilities within the hotel

This is a lovely, typical ryokan with a small lounge area in the room and an excellent onsen featuring great toiletries. Yukatas and towels are changed daily, as are the welcome pouches with socks and toiletries. Water and noodles are provided every day. A voucher is provided for a more upscale onsen with an outdoor bath, located 100 meters from the hotel. The lounge area on the ground floor is very pleasant. The only downside was that the coffee machines were out of coffee for all three days of our stay, and the hot water for tea wasn't working either. Parking is available for cars. We had a very enjoyable stay, with interesting places to visit nearby, though some required a bit of a drive, about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
