The White Swan Hotel truly lives up to its reputation! Everything from check-in to settling into the room was seamless. The room was spotless—not a speck of dust or a single stain in sight. Room service was remarkably prompt; shortly after I hung up the phone, the staff delivered what I needed. Highly recommended!

The White Swan Hotel truly lives up to its reputation as a venerable luxury hotel in Guangzhou. The rooms are spacious with elegant layouts and spotlessly clean – a clear testament to the diligent work of the housekeeping staff. The view from the window offers a stunning panorama of the Xiguan scenery. The bedding is soft and comfortable, and the bathroom features high-quality Natura Bissé toiletries. A special shout-out (👍) for the excellent turndown service! Every detail was thoughtfully considered, including a delightful small gift box with delicious shortbread cookies, infused with a unique Lingnan charm, creating a sweet and inviting atmosphere for sleep. The service was truly attentive and impeccable. ❤️👍☺️

The White Swan Hotel has always been a beloved landmark for Guangzhou locals. Although the room decor is a bit dated, the room layout is fantastic! You can enjoy the stunning view of the three rivers converging, and even soak in the tub while overlooking the river. The service deserves full marks, absolutely satisfying! The executive lounge dinner offered a great variety of food, and there was even a cocktail service! However, the breakfast selection at the River Drifting Pavilion was quite limited, and I hope they can improve that.

The best location along the Pearl River, a symbol of reform and opening up, and the youngest national cultural heritage site. The interior decoration looks as if it's just been handed over. Xiao Liao (Liao Zhanting) is articulate, provides efficient and attentive service, and is quick to respond. The restaurant offers exquisite food and beautiful flora. Staying here, one truly understands the charm of Lingnan, which surpasses all of China, and indeed feels the joy of being a southern king.

The room was spacious. Although it showed some signs of age, it definitely lives up to its five-star reputation. It's rare nowadays to find a hotel that still insists on providing a proper turndown service. You hardly ever see the housekeeping staff, but the immaculate room constantly reminds you of their quiet, meticulous care. Shamian Island boasts a prime location, and the gym offers unbeatable views. There was so much delicious food! We checked out Jade River, Hong Tu Fu, and the buffet restaurant. The signature Sachima and Swan Puffs were out of this world. The barbecue pork (char siu) is easily on par with—if not in a league of its own compared to—BingSheng's crispy pork belly, though the sunflower seed-fed chicken was just okay, worth trying once. After staying at both the White Swan and Mandarin Oriental, my kid without hesitation voted for White Swan for our next trip to Guangzhou. It truly lives up to its fame. Also, a special shout-out to the young gentleman at the Executive Lounge whose name I forgot to ask: my kid was gnawing on a baguette and accidentally knocked out a loose baby tooth. He immediately brought over some salt and a small cup to help us out. Such thoughtful service!

The official check-in time was 2 PM, but we had to wait until past 5 PM. When we asked if we could have a late check-out past 2 PM, the hotel only agreed to extend it to 1 PM. One room even only had a single pair of slippers. This really shows the hotel's limited ability to cater to guests.

The service was great, the room was clean, and the view was beautiful. The morning tea at Yutang Chunnuan is definitely worth trying, and the river view is also stunning. The kids had a fantastic time, my wife was happy, and naturally, I was happy too.

The location is excellent, and the river view from the room is superb. Although the room is a bit dated, it's clean. The hotel has a lot of history, and the picture book in the room, which tells the story of Shamian Island and the hotel, is well worth reading. I'd love to stay here again if I have the chance.

This is a historic hotel, but the facilities are very well-maintained, and the rooms are clean, on par with new hotels. The location is excellent with great river views. The staff provides professional and attentive service. It was a very pleasant stay.
