Amazing and magical experience from before you even get on the plane with elves and games for the kids. I can’t recall how many flights I have taken in my life but I will always remember the flight to Lapland. We had a nice breakfast and then proceeded to play different games that included the racing of passing toilet roll from the front to the back of the plane without it breaking. The children were even brought up to get together to run down the aisle from the back of the plane to the front. Afterwards we sang Xmas Carole’s. When we arrived at Kittilä, we were taken to get our snow gear and was able to leave anything we didn’t want to take with us in the bag we were provided that we could leave at the airport to be looked after. Once onboard the coach to Lapland we were provided a map with the time of when we could go to meet Santa. We played quizzes with Santas helpers on the ride over to Santas home. Once arrived there was plenty to do including riding reindeer sleighs, snow mobiles and huskies. We loved the huskie ride the most even with two people in our party with a phobia and allergy of dogs. There was an area where you could roast your marshmallows if you brought some with you. There was a restaurant that provided a buffet meal that was nice and also provided some much needed warmth when you required. When it was time we were whisked away to see Santa on a snow mobile which was a lot of fun. There was a nice elf that was just outside Santa’s home that made friends with our daughters. She provided nice hot drinks and cookies whilst we waited and let us in to see Santa when he was ready for us. It was amazing how much Santa knew about our daughters and even provided them with a gift each 😊. The girls really enjoyed meeting him. There was an ice museum which we walked around and enjoyed viewing the incredible sculptures. The museum then leads onto a gift shop where you can purchase memorabilia and souvenirs. We got on the coach afterwards and headed back to the airport where we collected our belongings and returned the snow suits. We were served a Christmas Meal on our flight back home and was allowed quiet time as by this time everyone including the children were exhausted. An incredible day that may have been expensive but was definitely worth it!

The price, contrary to what others have said on here is fair, 2x 3.5hr flights alone aren't going to be cheap. The cost, obviously, racks up when there is 4 (2 adults, 2 children) going but that is obvious. Lapland itself is amazing! All of the staff and elves that we encountered were so friendly and genuine. The snowsuit and boots that are supplied are excellent and upto the job of keeping you warm. The lunch at the place is perfectly acceptable, basic but appeals to all kids and most, reasonable, adults. The amount of time at the Snow Village is tight and could do with being about an hour and a half longer, but I guess that would make the overall day (already quite long) even longer. That said, this gives a superb taster of Lapland. A previous review states that there are no carols or Christmas decorations there and whilst true, I hadn't really noticed as the day for me, was all about snow and Lapland. The skidoo ride out to see Father Christmas was unbelievable! I don't know what a previous review was going on about when it said that they were left standing 'at the side of a road'. These were all tracks through forests where no other vehicles (except skidoos) would be and it was slightly bumpy (the turbulence on the plane journey was worse) but no more than one would expect. Certainly nowhere near enough to make someone 'cry out in pain'!!!!! The coach journey from the airport was excellent. The driver showing how driving in snow and ice can be done if you know what you're doing! The only negative point on the whole day was the flights themselves. The crew were excellent but the seats are crammed in so tight and are wafer thin and if you get the passengers from hell behind (like we did), you feel EVERY TIME that they kick the seat back or rummage in the seat back pocket (which they did every few minutes), which made the flights horrendous. All in all though, a superb day. I was really nervous after reading some of these negative reviews and in large, the actual day was nothing like they say. I guess it all comes down to individual expectations, but we were left with nothing but amazing memories* (*except for the flights!)

Visited the snow village today on a Tui excursion! The whole day was magical and the children loved it! We enjoyed a taster snow mobile and husky ride. Went by snow mobile on a nice ride through the beautiful scenery to find Santa in his cabin (the presents were a bit naff but aren’t they always?) We were given hot berry juice at 3 different points, decorated gingerbread cookies, played in beautiful fluffy snow, went sledging down the sledge slope and my 14 and 4 year olds both loved it in equal measures! Hot chocolate and cakes in the restaurant were lovely too! Only drawbacks for me were the toilets are very small which was a nightmare trying to get a snowsuit off a 3 year old in a small space and then hold her on the toilet and the husky ride just wasn’t long enough but that’s me being extra picky so they still deserve 5 stars! I thought the amount of time for the excursion was perfect and the day was a Christmas dream come true! Definitely recommend!

Second visit after 2019. Due to covid, the Hotel is smaller and bar or restaurant closed or with a shorter opening hours. The sculptures are great in each room but at the end the entrance price is very expensive. (19.- per adult, access only with covid pass). A bit a touristic trap.

I agree with many of the previous reviews, both positive and negative. It is expensive for what it is, the food it basic, the toilets are tiny, the rides don’t last long and the place to sled down is man made. However, my child loved every minute. Ok you aren’t there long but it was enough time to do everything at least once. The staff were great and lots for kids to do on the flights. This is a temporary village, maybe if you want something more to do go to one of the others villages. We were lucky enough to see the northern lights as we left so consider ourselves very fortunate.

I wanted to take my 7 year old to Lapland whilst she was able to appreciate the experience So booked the one day trip. I then read some of these reviews just before going and thought… oh! However, whilst I can see what some people are saying I went and looked at the place through the eyes of my 7 year old and not the eyes of a 40 year old woman!! Yes In the eyes of a 40 year old there are things that could be better etc but when your daughter tells you “it’s the best day of my life” and “if I am dreaming don’t wake me up!” I think the experience was a massive success. She loved it and I loved it with her. From the airport gate the experience really started. I cannot fault anyone we had contact with throughout the whole day. Yes it’s a long day but you know that before you go. We got 3.5 hours in the snow village which was plenty of time. We were not rushed to do anything and did all that we wanted. The sleigh ride and husky ride sure could have been longer, but it’s a taster and for little ones I think it was fine. The sledging hill is a mound of snow man made (there are no other hills so if they hadn’t of done that there would have been no sledging!?!) The age range of the main audience is going to be 4-11 ish and it was appropriate for them, it was also good fun for me and my 70 year old dad!! Sleigh ride out to Santa was lovely, through the trees and snow, yep it was a bit bumpy but nothing uncomfortable and it’s out in the elements not a tarmac road! My parting comment to those who may read this, go and see it as a child would, it is after all why most of us go isn’t it? For the children!

We really enjoyed our visit to the snow hotel, lots of rooms and beautiful snow sculptures to see. The kids had great fun up and down the ice slide and we enjoyed a blackcurrant vodka shot in the ice bar. It was a great experience to visit and see enroute to Levi.

Very disappointing trip. My family (2 adult and 2 girls aged 9 and 5) visited on the 23rd December 2021 The flight was average, we were disappointed the crew didn't really do anything Christmas themed, other than the captain saying Santa had landed on the plane. No carol singing or activities which you'd expect going to lapland. The place itself is amazing but the issue here is time. We paid 2.4k for 2.5 hours. it's impossible to complete the itinerary in the time allowed. It took a good couple of hours after landing to get through passport control, queue and get snow suits, and get on the coach. It's a fairly short journey to the snow village, maybe 20 mins. We arrived at 3:15pm and was told to be back at the bus for 5:45pm... 2.5 hours. We pretty much ran around the site trying to do everything. You can't it's 100% impossible to do everything on the itinerary. We had to skip snow-mobiling and the "local story telling tent". The kids were disapointed. The lunch is the equivalent of an Ikea buffet lunch but we were fine with that. Santa and the huskies were impressive though had to queue 30 mins for huskies. On the whole, I wouldn't recommend, the itinerary is very misleading - you'd need an extra 2 hours to really make the most of it. Spoke to Tui afterwards to tell them of our experiences but they weren't really bothered and didn't offer anything other than "we'll take your feedback into consideration". Won't be booking with Tui again - despite holidaying with them every year for at-least the last 10 years. To be clear, we're not the complaining type, this was the first time we'd ever complained to them and they didn't seem to care. £2400 for 2.5 hours fun in the snow.

Flight over - amazing, the crew went out of their way to make it feel festive. With games and good humour. We arrived at Gatwick at 5am in morning and returned at 22:15pm - we got 3 hours in the snow village, the rest was travelling or at airports. Snow village was a huge disappointment - no Christmas feel to it at all. Yes a forest full of trees and lanterns on the ground gave it a nice warm romantic feel but there was not one Christmas decoration or decorated tree anywhere, it had zero atmosphere. The huskie ride and reindeer ride last approx 2 mins each of that. The hill to go sledding down is actually a man made mound of snow about 7ft high and the kids skidoo is just a little circle they go round twice. Very underwhelmed with the place and wish we had picked somewhere else more festive. Essentially we paid thousands to spend 12 hours travelling and waiting and have a little play in the snow. Very disappointed at the lack of Christmas ‘feel’ and the amount of time spent there .... though tbf much more than 3 hours you’d prob be bored.
