Dune of Pilat is located on the southwest coast of France and is the largest and tallest sand dune in Europe. With the ocean on one side and a forest on the other, the scenery is stunning. Dune of Pilat rises over 100m above sea level. Visitors can walk up the dune using the specially constructed stairs or challenge themselves by climbing up. What a beach. It stretches for miles and you listen to the waves as you walk along the beach watching the cows and beach dogs. The beach is cleaned daily and is lined with numerous beach huts and restaurants. It is the Arabian Sea so it can be choppy but nice enough to dip in the water. So much to do that you find you don't have time to read a book or a snack! Yoga on the beach is a must even if you are a beginner like us! We visited Palolem and are so glad we chose Agonda. It was our first time in India and we fell in love with it! Already booked again
