Longzihu Scenic Area

Longzihu Scenic Area is located in the eastern part of Bengbu city and is a waterfront scenic area built around a lake in the city. The expansive lake surface stretches for several km from north to south. Xuehua Mountain on the southwest bank and Caoshan on the northeast bank face each other across the water, which, together with Xilu Mountain and Zhuizishan Forest Park, form a landscape pattern of three mountains flanking one lake. The lake water sparkles, and there are boardwalks and trails along the lake, which are suitable for walking, jogging, and cycling. The boardwalk that winds into the lake even passes under the Longhu Bridge, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll. The Longhu Bridge, which spans the lake, divides the water surface into roughly northern and southern sections, with Longzihu Park on the west bank being the main area for sightseeing. The Caoshan side on the northeast bank of the lake has a stronger cultural atmosphere. On the mountain, there is the Caoshan Martyrs Cemetery and the Geminglishi Exhibition Hall. At the southern foot of the mountain lies Tanghemu, the final resting place of Tang He, a founding general of the Ming Dynasty. Along the sacred path in front of the tomb stand stone statues of horses, sheep, lions, and warriors, which are simple and weathered. The scenic area is quite large; you can visit the west bank park and the boundary sculpture first, and then arrange to visit the Caoshan side. At dusk, the city skyscrapers on the opposite bank and the sunset over the lake appear in the same frame, making it a great time for photography.Bengbu · 1.6 km from downtown

Qiyan Temple is located on Zuizi Mountain in the eastern suburbs of Bengbu. It was first built in the Han Dynasty. Because the temple was built on a mountain rock, it was called Qiyan Temple. And its Buddha Hall, Monk Hall, and Sutra Pavilion are all made of white rocks, so it is also commonly known as Baishi Temple. The temple was destroyed by war during the Sui and Tang Dynasties, and rebuilt in the early Tang Dynasty. After the war, it was fortunately restored by a predestined person. After generations of embellishment, in the early Ming Dynasty, when Emperor Hongwu Zhu Yuanzhang rebuilt the Great Buddha Hall, Monk Hall, Sutra Pavilion, Pagoda Courtyard, etc., the pavilions and towers were connected, which was spectacular and very popular for a time.Bengbu · 5.6 km from downtown

Gaixia, commonly known as Bawangcheng, is located on the south bank of the Tuohe River in Haocheng, Jinguzhen County. In 202 B.C., King Liu Bang of Han led 300,000 troops of feudal lords to pursue Xiang Yu, the overlord of Western Chu. In the Battle of Gaixia, the Chu army was killed and 20,000 captured. The Han army completely wiped out the Chu army with its absolute superiority, creating a successful example of a large-scale pursuit battle in ancient China. It was listed as one of the seven famous ancient battles in the world. It has the reputation of "Oriental Waterloo". According to the research of experts, Gaixiabawangcheng is an irregular square, and the corners of the city are built into arcs. The north of the city is close to the Tuo River (known as the Huan River in ancient times), and there are moats on the east, south and west sides of the city. The original Bawang City was actually just an earthen fortress, with a high terrain and surrounded by water on all sides. In the city, Qin bricks and Han tiles can be found everywhere. Ancient and splendid cultural landscapes such as Han Well, Han Tomb, Han Bridge, the ancient tree "Yu Bao Sang", Yu Ji's dressing table, Tie Di River of Tongbang, Han Xin Dianjiang Terrace, etc. The stories of Besieged on All Sides and Farewell My Concubine are fascinating.Guzhen · 22.3 km from downtown

National and provincial key cultural relics protection units. Located in the northwest corner of Fengyang County in eastern Anhui, it was a capital built by Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, in Fengyang, his birthplace, but died in the middle. In 1369, in order to show the power of his new dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang began to mobilize hundreds of craftsmen, sergeants and civilians all over the country, tens of thousands of them, and built a central capital in Fengyang. "Building the system of the city and the palace is like the capital of the capital", using the "Palace Emperor" as a model, and setting up the "Department of Industry and Industry", which is "large in scale, prosperous in regulation, and high in craftsmanship, and it is the best in the world." Zhongducheng has three inner, middle and outer cities. The outer city has a circumference of about 30 kilometers and has four gates. There is a straight main road within each gate, which criss-crosses. The middle one is the forbidden wall, with a circumference of 7.85 kilometers, a rectangular plane, and four gates on four sides. Namely Chengtian Gate in the south, Bei'an Gate in the north, Dong'an Gate in the east, and Xi'an Gate in the west. Inside the forbidden wall is a moat with a width of about 80 meters. The inner city, the imperial city, is surrounded by the moat. The imperial city has a circumference of 3.68 kilometers and a nearly square plane, covering an area of 840,000 square meters. It is built with special large bricks with a length of 40, a width of 20 and a thickness of 11 cm. In Zhongdu City, there is a central axis running through the north and south of the city. This central axis starts from Hongwumen in the outer city in the south and ends at the north gate (unbuilt) of the outer city in the north, with a total length of nearly 7 kilometers. All kinds of buildings in Zhongdu City are arranged symmetrically on both sides of this central axis. The center is the three main halls, the left and right are the east and west halls respectively, and the two wings are the Wenhua and Wuying halls respectively. The front is Fengtianmen, and the rear is the three palaces. To the south of the Meridian Gate of the Imperial City, on the left are the Zhongshu Province and the Taimiao Temple, and on the right are the Dadudu Palace, the Censor Terrace and the Sheji. In the eighth year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1375), he "stopped working in the central capital". Later, due to the construction of Longxing Temple and the fire of the calendar war, the city walls and palaces were destroyed in large quantities. By the early 1970s, only the remaining Meridian Gate, Xihuamen platform and 1,100-meter-long city wall remained. The layout and relics and ruins are still spectacular. Currently being repaired.Fengyang · 15.3 km from Bengbu

I checked in Longzi Lake Scenic Area with my friends on the weekend, and the experience was great! As soon as we got there, the wide lake came into view, the lake water sparkled under the sunshine, the mountains in the distance were undulating, and the picture of mountains and waters was beautiful. Strolling along the lake, the green plants were lush, the air was full of fresh grass and wood fragrance, and there were many wild flowers that were not named blooming. The facilities in the scenic area are also very complete, with rest benches and clean trails. Whether it is a leisurely walk or a bicycle to enjoy the scenery, it is very suitable. The only drawback is that there are fewer dining options. But overall, Longzi Lake Scenic Area is really a treasure place to get close to nature and relax. I will come again next time!

This seven-attraction combo ticket in Fengyang offers excellent value for money. At 139 yuan, it includes the Ming Emperor's Mausoleum, the Temple of Emperors of Past Dynasties, the Temple of Founding Heroes, the Zhongdu City God Temple, the Bell Tower, Jiushan Cave, and Langxiang Migu Valley. It features a complete set of Ming Dynasty ritual relics, as well as natural landscapes like karst caves and canyons. Purchasing individual tickets separately would cost more, but this combo ticket offers a one-stop solution covering both cultural and natural attractions, making it ideal for tourists who want to deeply explore Ming Dynasty cultural relics. If you have ample time, it's definitely worth considering.

Climb Tushan Mountain and see the Huai River. Tushan Mountain is located in the northwest of Bengbu and is a free park. The mountain is not high, but it is famous for the immortals. It is said that it is the place where Dayu controlled the flood. There are towers, temples and hiking trails on the mountain. It is a niche place, but the scenery is good and the planning is very good. There is a large pomegranate garden at the foot of the mountain, and you can pick it in the yard. You can taste pomegranate wine for free, and there are also many fresh vegetables. It is a good place for Bengbu people to relax and exercise on weekends.

In Gaixia, now Haocheng, the world-famous Gaixia ancient battlefield site is left. The "Gaixia site" is a city built according to the terrain, with four arc-shaped corners. Exploration shows that the foundation of the city wall buried underground is relatively intact, the structure is relatively clear, and the direction is clear. Except for some sections of the west wall, the other four walls in the east, west, south and north are relatively straight. The lengths of the four walls in the east, west, south and north are approximately 410, 480, 280 and 340 meters respectively, with a total length of 1,510 meters. The area inside the city (excluding the city wall) is about 150,000 square meters, including the moat, and the area of the city site is nearly 200,000 square meters. Direction 350 degrees. The city is divided into four gates in the east, west, south and north. The original appearance of the four gates has not been preserved. The outline of the city wall is clearly visible from the outside, and it looks like a pot bottom from the inside. The highest point of the city wall has a drop of more than 3 meters from the farmland outside the city. The remains of the moat outside the city can be found. Although part of it has been leveled into farmland, most of it still exists.
