Reviews: Chengdu Panda Base + Leshan Giant Buddha Chartered tour (Departing from Chengdu)
Guest User2026-09-21
It was a wonderful trip! We booked a private, unguided tour for four people with Trip to the Chengdu Panda Base and the Leshan Buddha. We were worried that without Chinese, we'd have trouble understanding and communicating with the driver. But our worries were unfounded. They contacted us via WhatsApp the day before the trip, explained all the route details in English, and supervised us remotely throughout the entire trip. A huge thank you to Travel Concierge Zoey for organizing our trip, supporting us, resolving any unexpected situations, and having a great sense of humor! We definitely recommend her for foreign tourists!

The trip was very nice and there was a lot of things to see. The driver is very friendly and tries his best to help everyone! It was a very long day, but definitely worth it 💯

Reviews: 1-day tour to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding and Leshan Giant Buddha | optional guide for panda base only
Guest User2026-09-06
Our guide was Mr. Gary. We booked the panda and Leshan Giant Buddha tour. I thought it was a bit pricey, but since we avoided the summer holiday period, it was a private tour just for my wife and me, which actually made it feel quite reasonable. The car was a luxury minivan, which made the ride very comfortable. We also had a lot of flexibility with the schedule, which was a great help. It was an English tour, but the guide adjusted the pace to ours, so we could understand almost everything. My wife got tired and started walking slowly at one point, but the guide adjusted the pace for her. We were able to enjoy the tour without any problems.

Reviews: Leshan Giant Buddha Day Tour from Chengdu: 9:30 AM Departure & Optional Walking/Boat Tour (Lunch Included)
Guest User2026-09-30
Generally speaking, large group tours really put guides to the test, and today's guides, Yang and Lu, all passed the test, haha. The overall itinerary was well-planned, the hike wasn't particularly tiring, and the weather was great—it didn't rain during the climb. The boat and hike groups were separated, each led by a guide; our hiking group had two guides accompanying us, one in front and one behind. From lunchtime onwards, we ate according to the assigned seating. We chatted happily with some friends from Xi'an at our table, and we continued to exchange ideas during the hike. Lunch was quite good; we even got to try the braised beef (apparently, it's not available every day, so we were lucky!). The dishes weren't greasy overall, and it was quite delicious for a group meal. Near the end of the trip, the guides recommended some Chengdu delicacies, haha, which was really thoughtful, bringing a wonderful end to our Chengdu trip. Sichuan is wonderful; I'll definitely come back next time.
