The tour guide is fantastic, simply knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the island's history, wildlife, and natural beauty. Rottnest Island was on the list of things to do when my mum and I recently went to Perth for a week-long holiday. We went there for a day trip and I booked two roundtrip ferry tickets which departed from Perth and took us to Rottnest Island via Fremantle. The journey down the Swan River included guided commentary up to Fremantle, after which we travelled over the sea towards Rottnest Island. We then explored the island for the rest of the morning and most of the afternoon. We explored the island on foot and enjoyed two free walking tours run by experienced guides. I especially enjoyed our walk to Pinky Beach where we had a swim in the crystal blue waters. Around lunchtime we spotted quokkas running around trying to get a feed from tourists in the main food and shopping precinct. I didn't mind as I was able to take many pictures of these cute critters. We then enjoyed a bit of shopping before we took our afternoon ferry back to the mainland, which was a choppy ride but fun nonetheless. I'd highly recommend the Perth to Rottnest Island round trip ferry tickets for travellers who want to enjoy a day trip to Rottnest Island while being flexible about how they get around the island.


