I highly recommend this Cangshan Gantong Cableway + Erhai Lake Cruise day trip! The itinerary is perfectly paced, neither rushed nor tiring. The Gantong Cableway offers breathtaking views; the cabin slowly ascends, weaving through clouds and forests, overlooking Erhai Lake and the Dali Basin. The driver was extremely patient with our group and we appreciate his insights and understanding. The only thing that we would like to highlight is please refrain from bringing your guests to expensive shops and earning commission from the shops. Be honest with where you are bringing your guests and they will be more than happy to oblige. Don't sugarcoat your suggestions of places to go only because you're earning some commission from them.

I was picked up from my hotel and taken to the locations well with a lovely driver who came in with me at times to do tie dying and tea drinking. The ride along the lake was not as fun as I thought, with people walking and biking like they drive. No sense of other people. I only biked for maybe 20 muns. it was a cloudy day and not that warm. People were constantly trying to take my photo, so in my.option the least enjoyable part of the trip. The two villagess I saw were different to each other but interesting to walk through and try eating food and the many samples of things to eat and drink. It was a very pleasant day, with a few drops of rain, a bit of sun and nice scenery.

Our family of four booked the Taoyao Treasure Village online the night before. It was an authentic experience. We visited the centuries-old dragon kiln, made our own tile cats, and enjoyed the simple, traditional craftsmanship. We also had lunch in the owner's courtyard. The other travelers were very friendly. Highly recommended!
