Well worth a visit if in Edinburgh, beautiful stunning location , lots of walking and hills but transport is an option if you decide to take it . We had a fantastic two hours just meandering and enjoying both the beautiful animals and the scenery. We also enjoyed some delicious ice cream along the way.
Reviews: Full-Day Trip: Loch Ness, Glencoe & The Highlands from Edinburgh
Guest User2025-08-12
Went on Wednesday 6th August with our coach driver Neil to go to Loch Ness through the Highlands. Scheduled many stops on a long journey, felt relaxed and he gave scottish knowledge and personal experience every so often throughout the trip. Was comical enough for a Scot. We had really nice weather (2 days earlier the wind was closing down high streets!). Plenty of chances to take photos. Although there were many to get on the boat at Fort Augustus, we were able to get a decent view of the Loch. Saw the monster, was about to take the photo, but she dipped back down into the water! Typical! Would highly recommend Neil for a trip into the Highlands, safe driver - even bought me the 2nd best drink in Scotland - an Irn Bru!
Reviews: Edinburgh Castle Guided Tour - Tickets Included
Guest User2024-09-17
Our tour to Edinburgh Castle was fantastic. Our tour guide, Paolo was very entertaining and his knowledge of Scottish history was second to none. As a tour group, you cannot enter the buildings on the castle grounds, however, Paolo explained the history of each one and encouraged us to stay on after the tour and explore the inside of each building ourselves. The Crown Jewels of Scotland are a must see. If you can, do the 12pm tour so you can witness the firing of the cannon which happens every day at 1pm. Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon.
Reviews: Underground Vaults Walking Tour in Edinburgh Old Town

James our guide took us on a stroll through the streets as he expertly explained the history behind the tour and the places visited on the way to the vaults. Whilst in the vaults the atmosphere is like nothing else. James explained in great detail the type of people who frequented the vaults over the years and the various uses. I wouldn't want to give anything away but this is a "must do" if visiting Edinburgh.
