A grrat day out with adequate time for investigating at various lookouts and walking tracks. Interesting commentary and friendly bus environment. The highlight of our NZ trip for my partner.

We took the TranzAlpine as part of our journey to Queenstown - breathtaking views all the way! Unfortunately, we faced a surprising 2-hour delay, which was frustrating. If time allows, consider adding Pancake Rocks near Greymouth/Hokitika to your itinerary (though it's a bit far). Still, the landscapes made it worthwhile for train lovers!

We thoroughly enjoyed both our day tour on the TransAlpine Railroad and our guide Joseph! The experience was grand enough in all manner of ways (the train was fun on the way back from Arthur’s Pass, and Joseph took to a wonderful array of interesting/scenic places to experience and photograph. High recommended for tour and guide alike!!


