Akiyoshido Cave
Akiho-do Cave is one of Japan's three most famous caves, located in Akiyoshidai National Park in Miya City, western Yamaguchi Prefecture. A waterfall runs through the entrance to Akiho-do Cave, hence its ancient name, "Taki-no-na" (Waterfall Cave). Akiho-do Cave, along with two other limestone caves in Akiyoshidai, Kagekiyo-do Cave and Taisho-do Cave, were registered as a waterfowl sanctuary in November 2005 under the name of the Akiyoshidai underground water system. Located at the foot of Mount Akiyoshi, this is a well-known large stalactite cave with an entrance 24 meters high and 8 meters wide. The interior reaches a width of 200 meters and a height of 40 meters, with some sections reaching 80 meters. The sightseeing area is approximately 1.5 kilometers long, while the total length is about 8.8 kilometers. It connects to another smaller stalactite cave, Gezae Cave. The cave is filled with stalactites and stalagmites, interspersed with waterfalls and deep pools, all of which are breathtakingly beautiful.Mine · 21.9 km from Hagi
