Silver Cave

The Silver Cave attraction is located in Maling Town, Lipu City, and is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction. Silver Cave is a typical karst cave that runs through twelve mountain peaks. The cave features sparkling and dazzling stalactites, earning it the reputation of being a wonder among the world's karst caves. In 2026, the attraction completed an upgrade of its cave lighting technology, comprehensively refreshing the illumination of its 18 major scenic spots with a "dual-zone integration" concept for visual experiences. The geological rock zone employs museum-grade lighting control to restore the silver luster of stalactites, while the magnificent terrain area utilizes 3D mapping technology in the "vicissitudes of time" hall to showcase geological evolution from the Devonian period to karst formation, creating China's first 360-degree immersive karst lightscape. Pioneering biophilic lighting, contactless interaction, and AR scene integration, the design achieves symbiosis between nature and technology with "visible light, invisible fixtures." Core attractions like the musical stone screen, Yaochi fairyland, silver diamond, Buddha's discourse, money tree, and primordial pearl umbrella gain enhanced depth and dimensionality. Multiple social media photo spots along the route blend natural wonders with digital innovation through AR interactions, bringing 100-million-year-old karst marvels to vibrant, interactive life. This upgrade preserves the core advantage of the cave's natural views while infusing new cultural significance and communication value through innovative experiences, transforming the attraction from "sightseeing-oriented" to "immersive experience-focused," successfully creating a unique tourism model for Guilin's karst caves. The attraction deeply integrates high-quality surrounding resources to create a diverse cultural tourism experience matrix: the earth memory meteorite wonder museum combines meteorite collections, paleontological fossils, geological science education and 4D interactive experiences, enriching study tour content; Yinlong ancient village preserves complete traditional northern Guangxi residential architecture with profound historical heritage, serving as an ideal destination for exploring ancient village culture and experiencing folk customs; the Xiaogingshan Lipu taro planting base, leveraging the nationally protected geographical indication product Lipu taro, has developed a distinctive agricultural sightseeing area integrating standardized planting, rural scenery viewing and farming experiences; Xiangshang Guixu centers on Lipu taro culture to create an immersive cultural experience space featuring taro culture exhibitions, farming activities, specialty cuisine, creative markets and folk interaction, making Lipu taro culture tangible, appreciable, experiential and consumable. The attraction is built upon natural landscapes, centered around cultural experiences, and supported by distinctive agriculture. It connects diverse formats including cave sightseeing, science education, ancient village exploration, taro field leisure, cultural experiences and flower viewing, striving to create a new pattern of comprehensive tourism development that deeply integrates agriculture, culture and tourism. Through attraction-driven development, industrial synergy and cultural empowerment, it effectively promotes industrial growth in surrounding villages, increases employment and income for residents, and strengthens village collective economies. This achieves coordinated progress in ecotourism, ancient village culture, specialty agriculture and rural revitalization, establishing a high-quality development model for the integrated growth of agriculture, culture and tourism in Maling town. Next, the attraction will implement a three-phase agricultural-cultural-tourism integration upgrade project. Focusing on key areas including the Silver Cave core landscape, earth memory science education, Yinlong ancient village cultural preservation, Xiaogingshan Lipu taro planting base improvement, and Xiangshang Guixu Lipu taro cultural experience enhancement, the project will further improve touring facilities, diversify offerings and elevate service quality. It aims to strengthen the integrated industrial chain encompassing cave sightseeing, science education, ancient village leisure, farming experiences, taro culture displays and distinctive homestays. Through this construction, the project will comprehensively promote deep integration between the attraction and surrounding villages, specialty agriculture and cultural resources, continuously expanding brand influence and industrial driving force. It strives to build a high-quality development model for agricultural-cultural-tourism integration in southern Guilin, injecting stronger momentum into rural revitalization.China · Lipu

The Museum of Guangxizhuang Autonomous Region

The Museum of Guangxizhuang Autonomous Region (hereinafter referred to as "Guangxi Museum"), established in 1934, is a provincial-level comprehensive museum of history and art, and one of China's first national first-class museums. It houses nearly 100,000 artifacts (sets), including 148 first-class cultural relics (sets), 1,974 second-class cultural relics (sets), and 3,865 third-class cultural relics (sets). The museum's collection is not only vast in quantity and diverse in categories, covering a wide range from the Paleolithic Age to modern times, but also features strong local ethnic characteristics. These artifacts hold significant historical, artistic, and scientific value, bearing witness to Guangxi's historical development and evolution across various periods. To promote the high-quality development of museums, with strong support from the Party Committee and Government of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Museum of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region underwent renovation and expansion starting in January 2019. The new museum building, covering approximately 42,000 square meters with 10,000 square meters of exhibition space, opened to the public in late November 2022. It features permanent exhibitions such as "Ancient Civilizations of Guangxi" and "Flames of the Southern Frontier: Guangxi's Modern Revolutionary History," along with thematic exhibitions including "Setting Sail from Hepu: Guangxi's Maritime Silk Road of the Han Dynasty," "A Kaleidoscope of Glazes: Ceramic Collections," and "Exquisite Craftsmanship: Treasures of Artistry." These exhibits comprehensively illustrate Guangxi's developmental path within China's diverse-yet-unified civilization framework. The main building consists of an exhibition hall featuring the stilt-style architecture of the Zhuang ethnic group and a cultural relics garden with strong ethnic characteristics, integrating classic nostalgic views, leisure cultural spaces, and modern technological design. The new museum's functional zoning is scientifically and rationally planned to fully meet the public cultural service needs of the museum. It adds four interactive areas: a historical theater, a children's archaeology exploration hall, a youth activity center, and a cultural creative shop. The museum has established a smart infrastructure based on middle platforms, big data, cloud computing, microservices, and knowledge graphs, enabling smart management functions such as remote reservation, AR audio guides during visits, and volunteer management. It also offers diverse and personalized services including live guides, audio guides, historical theater performances, archaeological interactive experiences, and ethnic cuisine. In the era of cultural and tourism integration, the newly revitalized Museum of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region will integrate functions such as collection, research, exhibition, education, tourism, and international exchange. Rooted in its distinctive "museum-garden combination" and "dynamic-static complementarity" approach, it is dedicated to exploring Guangxi's historical and cultural essence, showcasing Guangxi's image, and telling Guangxi's stories well. By promoting the fusion of culture and tourism, the museum aims to make cultural relics "rotate," "smart," and "dynamic," striving to achieve creative transformation and innovative development of China's outstanding traditional culture. This effort contributes significantly to building a magnificent Guangxi in the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics.China · Nanning

It had a great Halloween atmosphere, but there weren't many things to do. I only found out when I got there that buying tickets a day in advance would have saved me 30 yuan... The performance was okay, they were very energetic, but there was no storyline. It's good for kids to watch for fun.

The guided tour was a good thing, adding to the fun. It was tiring on the legs; there were a lot of steps, making it quite strenuous to climb, and some parts were slippery. Short sleeves are fine for this season; the temperature inside the cave was pleasant. I brought a jacket thinking it would be cold, but I didn't need it. It takes about an hour to finish, leaving you breathless. Overall, I think it's worth a visit to pass the time.

Lovely lovely scenary, the cable car ride was very enjoyable. But my advise for anyone unfit, is not try to do the whole circuit. There are many steps to tackle, definately don't try it in a hot day. Very generous for them to extend the half price entrance for foreign visitors too.

The exhibits are plentiful, concentrated on the second and third floors, but unfortunately, the museum doesn't limit visitor numbers, making it impossible to sit still and appreciate them at a leisurely pace. I suggest following the example of other provincial museums and changing the reservation system to two-hour time slots—limiting the number of visitors would significantly improve the experience. Also, the smell of recent renovations in some exhibition halls is quite strong.

The experience at Chimelong Forest Kingdom in Qingyuan exceeded my expectations! The park's ecology is exceptionally well-preserved, with lush vegetation, making you feel like you've stepped into a real wild forest. Staff member Lu Yixi proactively helped with directions, which was very kind of me! The off-road self-drive tour is highly recommended, allowing you to encounter lions, giraffes, and other animals up close. Many small animals were relaxed and carefree, like the lazy white lion in the photos—it was incredibly soothing. The animals were all in great condition, full of energy, not at all like stereotypical captive animals. The park's routes are clear, and the facilities are comprehensive. The staff were patient in their explanations, and there were also fun interactive quizzes that the children thoroughly enjoyed, making the journey full of surprises. It offers a chance to get close to nature and learn about wildlife, with a comfortable pace that isn't overly crowded, making it perfect for family trips and a treasure trove of a park worth visiting again.
