The Golden Sword Hira Palace, nicknamed "Kim Biro", is located on the mountainside of Mount Kotohira and is dedicated to the God of God and Emperor Zonde. The long stone steps of the pilgrimage road are very famous, and there are 1368 steps to the inner shrine (Yankun Shrine). Climb to level 365 and you will reach the gate of the "two-story building into the mother house" structure. From the gate is the shrine grounds, and you can take the stone steps to carry the sedan chair like in the Edo period. On both sides of the road before the gate, souvenir shops, restaurants, etc. are lined up, and crutches are also rented out. Going through the gate, there are five confectionary shops "Five Renmin" with umbrellas lined up. It is a historical small shop that was licensed to operate in the shrine grounds due to the merits of the ancestors. Climbing up the stone steps, there are several ruins such as the main hall of the main hall, treasure hall, torii, etc., such as the Asahi Shrine with beautiful carvings on the pillars and gates, and the Shoin, which is decorated with wall paintings of Maruyama Yoshitsu and Ito Jakuchuku. The dots continue one after another, and when you reach level 785, you will arrive at the Palace. After climbing to level 1368, I finally arrived at the office, where I could have a panoramic view of Qinping's street scene. Kinto Hiragu was revered as the god of protection of the sea and the increase of agricultural production. In the Edo period, it was generally believed that it must be visited once in a lifetime, and many people from all over the country visited. At that time, there was even such a custom that people who could not visit the shrine in person would have their puppy go to the shrine on their behalf, and it was called "Kimpiro dog". It is still deeply revered and attracts many pilgrims, especially the New Year's shrine and the "Golden Sword Hira Matsuri", a regular festival in October.

I have been to many aquariums that are not very big indoors, but the Shikoku Aquarium is the closest to the animals. It is a suitable place for taking beautiful photos for the Internet. It is a good choice if you want to hide indoors when you go to Shikoku in summer.

It was a souvenir spot when visiting landmarks in the game, so I went to the castle without any prior knowledge. Marugame City itself was the first time! I parked the car in a distant parking lot and walked all the way to the top of the castle (because the place designated by the game was too much in the place where it appeared...) Well, it was a small castle!! When I climbed up, there was a place where you could enjoy a panoramic view of the scenery, which was probably the first highlight... I was tired of going up.

There are many rest stops and teahouses along the way for worshippers to rest. 2. **Architecture and landscape**: - The architectural style of the main shrine and the Oku shrine is simple, and the surrounding natural landscape is beautiful, especially the cherry blossoms in spring and the red leaves in autumn, which attract a large number of tourists. 3. **Cultural significance**: - Kotohira-gu has a high status in Japanese culture, and many literary works and artistic creations are based on it. 4. **Treasure House**: - There is a treasure house in the shrine, which displays precious artifacts related to the history and culture of the shrine. ### Visiting Information: - **Address**: 892-1, Kotohira-cho, Nakatado-gun, Kagawa Prefecture - **Opening Hours**: Usually from early morning to evening, the specific time varies with the season. - **Transportation**: It takes about 1 hour to reach Kotohira-cho from Takamatsu City by JR train or bus, and then walk to the shrine. ### Tips: - Wear comfortable shoes, as climbing the stone steps requires some physical strength. - Teahouses along the way offer local snacks and drinks, such as dango and matcha, which are worth a try. The bridge is so spectacular! I was worried when driving on it, it's so long and in the sea! But I can ignore the beautiful scenery and buy as much as I want. The snacks and souvenirs are so tempting! Look, even the paper cups are so cute.

I was glad that it was empty. I bought an unlimited ride pass from the evening onwards. There was no waiting time, so I was able to ride a variety of rides. The illuminations were beautiful.

The rides were so much fun! I highly recommend The Flying Dinosaur and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. The park gets really crowded, and the wait times can be long, but it’s absolutely worth it!Download 'The Universal Studios Japan' app has a real time map and live ride wait times. It’s super convenient and makes planning your day so much easier
