Fort Rotterdam explains the history of Makassar after the arrival of the Dutch VOC. It consists of several colonial buildings built since 17th century. In the same compound, you will find La Galigo Museum. It is right in the middle of Makassar. There is an admission at least for foreigners.

We had a good visit good weather ,only scary thing the road going up and going downhill but worth the visit for us when visiting Tana toraja and back to makassar
