🚌Following Otaru Station, there's a bus stop on the left. Buses go directly to Tenguyama, a 20-30 minute journey. The bus schedule is a bit long, but it's convenient ✌🏻. (The bus stop also runs to the Otaru Aquarium.) 🚡I bought round-trip tickets for the Tenguyama cable car in advance through a certain platform. It was a bit cheaper and came with a postcard and a coupon for a meal at the mountaintop restaurant, which was quite good. Upon reaching the cable car, you need to exchange your QR code for your ticket at the first-floor window, then go up to the second floor to use your ticket. On a pleasant day, the view is amazing, with a bird's-eye view of Otaru. You can even spot Otaru Station and our hotel [smiley face]. It's said that watching the sunrise from the mountain is a must-see. If you're interested, check it out if you can time it right. 😊 (Figure 4️⃣ Cable car schedule). 🐹There are chipmunks on the mountain. Remember to close the gates when entering and exiting to prevent them from escaping [awkward]. The little ones are very alert, so you need to approach them quietly and feed them. Their little teeth are very sharp [smiley face]. Touching the Tengu's nose 👃🏻 brings good luck. There should be a walking trail in the back of the mountain, so if you have time, you can walk it. The restaurant's curry rice is excellent, and the window seats are a great way to enjoy the view while dining. 😊 Visit date: Late September 2025

Odori Park, located near Sapporo Station in downtown Sapporo, isn't particularly large, resembling a typical garden or green space in Japan. However, the famous Sapporo TV Tower is right next to the park, attracting numerous tourists from all over the world. The area is packed with people eager to take photos.

It's worth a visit. In the afternoon, I went to Mt. Moiwa from JR Sapporo. I took a taxi to the entrance of the Mt. Moiwa cable car for 2,900 (the driver drove the wrong way, it should be less than 2,700). I bought the ticket directly on Ctrip. When I arrived, I went directly to the window to scan the code to get the ticket. I thought there were not many people on Mt. Moiwa during the day, but it was not the case. There were quite a few people waiting for the cable car. The cable car is divided into two sections. There is a cafe where you can sit down after the first section, or go to the top to see the scenery at the foot of the mountain. There are many elderly people who hiked up the mountain. They are very thin and carry hiking sticks. They look very impressive. In fact, there is not much to see at the top of the mountain. You can take a rest and take the cable car down. There are no shops at the foot of the mountain. Just walk forward and take the tram. You can transfer to the subway in the city. The fare is not expensive. Looking at the old man walking briskly, I suddenly feel that the meaning of travel may lie in these inadvertent moments-not how beautiful the scenery on the top of the mountain is, but the people and things encountered along the way, which make the ordinary journey vivid and unforgettable.

This is the highest point in Sapporo, offering a 350-degree panoramic view of the entire city. I recommend going during the day! Taking photos through the glass at night doesn't look as good. If you're not taking photos, then it's better at night.

Located in Noboribetsu, the beautiful and spectacular Noboribetsu Hell Valley is a scenic area. Formed by volcanoes, this valley is blessed with hot springs reaching temperatures of 80 degrees Celsius. The scent of sulfur can be smelled from time to time, and even the hot springs have a yellowish color. The magnificent Oyunuma Pond is truly breathtaking, making it a must-see. Noboribetsu Hell Valley truly lives up to its reputation!

Must visit - awesome view of the fortress with a nice souvenir shop at ground floor. But avoid the lucky pierrot opposite the tower. That’s the most crowded outlet which has a queue forming esp during lunch.

As a typical Japanese city skywalk, Tanukikoji is far less bustling than Shinsaibashi, much like the contrast between Sapporo and Osaka. But Tanukikoji is approachable, relaxed, and offers a great value.
