Stepping into Xipeng Ancient Town in Wuzhen is like entering a dreamlike Jiangnan landscape. Amidst white walls and black tiles, small bridges span flowing streams, and ancient ginkgo trees turn golden, showcasing the gentle tranquility of a Jiangnan water town.

I've been to Xitang several times, but this time, after a few years, it seemed quieter than before. Many shops were closed. I wanted to write a postcard, but the shopkeeper from Sky City was gone; I wasn't sure if I just missed it. Looking at the small bridges and flowing water, the little fish swimming in the water, it seemed like a place where time seemed to stand still and there was no pressure. One shopkeeper had two cats tied up at the door, both dressed in little outfits, one with a red face painted on it. I imagined the scenes of daily life here in the past; now, the scene was prepared for tourists. I pretended to have entered a dreamlike, beautiful space, stayed for an afternoon, and then returned to my own real, flowing world.

Puyuan Scenic Area is quite well-developed, with excellent landscaping. The only drawback is the exorbitant ticket price of 120 yuan, which is the main reason for the low number of tourists. As a local from Jiaxing, I think 120 yuan is not worth it. The area is mostly filled with tour groups. It's nice for taking photos; the water is very clear. There are many guesthouses and shops, but over 60% are vacant, which is a pity.

This was the most enjoyable place we visited this year. My child is now obsessed with these immersive NPC experiences. He asks me every day where else we can find something similar. We took him to an escape room, and he still wants more. It seems like this experience really raises his bar. The NPCs are incredibly engaged, and there are tons of story quests. The scenery is also absolutely beautiful. We absolutely loved it!

Nanhu Lake is not only beautiful, but also filled with historical stories, particularly those related to the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China. There's even a museum there. The scenery is closely integrated with revolutionary education. A guided tour is highly recommended.

The Halloween carnival was amazing! Parking was convenient, tickets were reasonably priced, and the chocolates inside were delicious 😋. I highly recommend going if there are any special events.

I've never seen such a desolate 4A-level tourist attraction, practically deserted, but the visitor center is incredibly well-built. It's a good place to experience the desolate beauty of dilapidated old houses covered in creepers. Photography enthusiasts can also create some great photos. It's a shame you can't enter the old houses, otherwise, horror games like ancient escape rooms wouldn't need set designs, and it would be really atmospheric.
