Lianzhou Underground River Highlights Having visited the Lianzhou Underground River after hearing so much about it, this cave tour completely overturned my expectations of natural landscapes! The moment I stepped into the cave entrance, a cool, moist breeze swept over me, instantly dispelling the summer heat. Boating along the underground river, the stalactites on both banks were in countless shapes and forms. Under the lights, some resembled fairies scattering flowers, while others looked like towering jade pillars. The interplay of light and shadow made it feel like I had entered a real-life "fantasy wonderland." The guide along the way provided detailed explanations, from the geological formations to local legends, allowing us to understand the millennia-old history of this cave while enjoying the scenery. The experience was great. It was the first time I'd ever seen wisps of mist rising from the lake. The tangerines from Dongjiang Lake are a must-try; they're delicious. I bought a small amount for 3 yuan per jin (500g) on-site, but they were around 10 yuan on Pinduoduo. A must-try! The karst caves on the island are also quite spectacular.

The air was fresh, and many locals went to fetch water. You can take an electric cart all the way up the mountain, but to see the waterfall you need to climb up yourself. There are also food options inside the scenic area, and the electric cart service is quite good. The only downside is that the entrance fee seems a bit expensive.

However, the scenic area is not very well developed, resulting in low visitor numbers. The climb is quite challenging, making it unsuitable for the elderly and children. Transportation and value for money are also not ideal.

This river cruise is worth going on for the beautiful views and good commentary, in Chinese only. There are many cruise operators, but be sure to select this if you want a cruise. It's a four hour cruise to Yangshuo.

An incredible boat trip! The views were absolutely stunning, and we had fantastic seats. The buffet was quite tasty. Even though the crew didn't speak English, it didn't stop us from fully enjoying the breathtaking scenery. We took a huge number of photos and are super happy with the entire service.
