I had an amazing visit to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding and highly recommend it to anyone coming to Chengdu. I booked my own ticket online and added the keychain option, then took a Didi to and from the base which made the trip incredibly convenient. I also rented the audio guide at the information center for 30 yuan, which added useful context as I explored the different panda habitats. It’s important to arrive early ideally between 7:30am and 10am because pandas follow natural resting cycles and become far less active as the day heats up. Arriving during the morning feeding time lets you see them eating, climbing, and playing before they nap for most of the afternoon. The areas with the highest number of pandas are the Sunshine (Sun) and Moonlight (Moon) Enclosures, as well as the popular Panda Nursery where younger pandas are often visible. Overall it was an unforgettable experience and absolutely worth the early start.

Dujiangyan boasts beautiful scenery and a rich cultural atmosphere. Nearby is the South Bridge, where you can see the "blue tears" phenomenon (blue tears) illuminated by lights at night – a truly spectacular sight. It's recommended to watch videos and read articles on Bilibili and WeChat before your trip, or hire a professional guide at the scenic area to enhance the experience. Otherwise, it's not very enjoyable to explore alone. Currently, the price-performance ratio isn't great, and the service attitude of the scenic area staff could be improved. Additionally, it's a pity that Fulong Temple and Baopingkou were closed for renovations.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere here; it's a lovely garden scenic spot. Du Fu was truly Du Fu—he knew how to choose a place to settle down! Although his own thatched cottage was very simple, the location he chose was truly beautiful and ideal for living. In short, I really liked this place! At first, I thought the ticket price was a bit expensive before going inside, but after walking around, I found it was definitely worth it.

Emei is so hard to go, but it was truly rewarding when I reached the peak. Its very crowded, but you will still be able to get some pretty nice pictures. The monkeys along the way really added the extra special touch to the trip :) some people found the bus journey up the winding roads very nauseating, but I slept throughout and was fine both ways! You can consider eating some anti-nausea pills some time before the bus ride though!

I went in the summer, it wasn't too hot, very comfortable. If you know about the history of the Three Kingdoms, it's a great place to visit. I highly recommend it. What impressed me most was the rotten wood statue next to Liu Bei, representing his son; "Rotten wood cannot be carved."

After climbing Mount Emei, I went to Leshan to sample the local cuisine and also visited the famous Leshan Giant Buddha. Yes, the confluence of three rivers—the Minjiang, Qingyi, and Dadu—makes this auspicious location a sight to behold. The Buddha, built over 90 years, is definitely worth seeing. The red sandstone along the riverbank is easily weathered, and the section of the ancient path that once stood there is now a protected historical site, closed to traffic since around 2019. So, some places are best visited early; otherwise, the experience won't be the same as it was back then.

Qingcheng Mountain has beautiful scenery. On a sunny day, the sun shines brightly, and the scenery is stunning. You can take the cable car up and walk down. I'd love to go again sometime, though it's a bit tiring on the legs. It's important to exercise more and get out more often. The air in Qingcheng Mountain is truly excellent; I highly recommend a visit.

The hotel owner treated guests like family, taking our group of four to Huanglong Scenic Area and waiting for us for four hours before picking us up and even taking us from the hotel to the high-speed rail station. This thoughtful service was incredibly touching.
