M29***51Located in Wuwei City, Gansu Province, Hexi Metropolis is a large-scale cultural and tourism complex integrating history and culture, natural scenery, and leisure and entertainment. Formerly known as Liangzhou, Wuwei was a key city on the ancient Silk Road. Historically, it served as the political, economic, and cultural center of the Hexi region, witnessing the succession and prosperity of multiple dynasties. Construction of the Hexi Metropolis scenic area began in October 2018 and took over four years. Built on the site of the Leitai Han Tomb, a former national 4A scenic spot where the "Horse Stepping on Flying Swallow" statue was unearthed, the project was built with a total investment of 5.803 billion yuan. Overall Layout: The overall layout of the scenic area can be summarized as "12333N," specifically one core area, two supporting facilities, three major venues, three major nodes, three themed blocks, and a series of distinctive highlights. Integrating heritage preservation, tourism, cultural exhibitions, leisure and entertainment, and supporting public service facilities, the Hexi Metropolis scenic area is the largest cultural and tourism complex in the province, jointly developed by the Provincial Public Transportation Group and the Wuwei Municipal Government. It is of great significance for fully tapping Wuwei's historical and cultural resources, building Wuwei into the "Chinese Tourism Iconic Capital", creating a new Silk Road city landmark, promoting the development of the province's cultural and tourism industry, and promoting the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt.

AllToBeNiceIt's a small zoo. If you're not interested in seeing the pandas, just buy a regular ticket. Seeing the Pallas's cat and lynx is largely a matter of luck; we only saw a Pallas's cat on our second visit, and we didn't see a lynx at all.

佐佐的漫游日记Xining's Family Treasure! A Day of Fun at Xinhualian Tongmeng Park Bringing my kids to Xining's Xinhualian Tongmeng Park completely blew away my expectations of Northwest theme parks! As a comprehensive park offering one-stop family fun, it's truly worth adding to your Xining travel bucket list. The most stunning attraction was Xining Ocean World. As the world's highest aquarium, you can see lively penguins, spectacular dolphin shows, and the unique Qinghai Lake naked carp display on the plateau. The children's eyes lit up the entire time, and the underwater performances were truly captivating. A ride on the 108-meter "Eye of Qinghai" Ferris wheel in the land park is a must-do. When it lights up in the evening, you'll get a panoramic view of the park, creating stunning photos. The thrilling tornado pendulum and the immersive "Arabian Nights" dark ride offer fun for both adults and children. If you're traveling with young children, Tongmeng Kingdom is an absolute paradise. With nearly 8,000 square meters of indoor space and safe, fun facilities, children can enjoy a long day of fun. The fully heated Tongmeng Water World is sun- and cold-resistant, and the wave pool and lazy river are fantastic, perfect for parent-child interaction. The Silk Road Town within the park is unique, featuring miniature replicas of buildings from 18 countries. While taking photos and checking in, you can also educate your children about their culture. If you're hungry, head to the Ethnic Food Street, where you can sample specialties from 56 ethnic groups all in one place, allowing you to experience the flavors of each region without having to travel too far. The only caveat is that the plateau's ultraviolet rays are strong, so remember to wear sunscreen. The temperature difference between morning and evening can be significant, so bring a light jacket. The fireworks show is only held from Tuesdays to Saturdays, so plan your time well in advance. Overall, whether you're traveling with children or friends, this place has something for everyone. It's a fulfilling and enjoyable day out, and I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Xining!

M39***13The scenery was so beautiful that we kept taking photos and lost track of time. Around 6 pm, we got off at the "Daydream Cinema," but there were no more buses or minibuses, and no staff members were around. No one had reminded us of the last shuttle bus time, so the two of us had to walk to the visitor center, about 4.5 kilometers away. The wind was strong, the temperature was -1.5 degrees Celsius, and it got dark quickly. The further we walked, the more scared we became. We tried calling the scenic area, but no one answered. Finally, we called 110 (the police emergency number) and asked them to contact the scenic area staff. After hanging up, a Li Auto electric scooter passed by, and the driver stopped and readily gave us a ride to the parking lot. We chatted along the way, and the driver said he was from the Space Capsule Hotel. His surname was Wang; he was probably the owner or manager. We were extremely grateful to him and will definitely stay there again next time! The first photo was taken on the way to the visitor center.

M26***g8It was so cool to experience staying in a tent, riding a camel and some other entertainment activities in the desert. The weather was pretty good these two days. You can enjoy the cool breeze and watch the sunset at night. It was super romantic. The service attitude of the staff was super good. Now it is the off-season, so tents are not expensive, and it is very cost-effective.

猫小妖333The number of visitors was absolutely enormous; you were basically just being pushed around by the crowd. I saw the Flying Horse of Gansu and the Little Girl with the Curtain-like Hairpin. There weren't many exhibits inside; pottery made up a large portion. Overall, it was alright. I hired a guided tour, so at least I didn't just wander around aimlessly.
