Guest User: Pamela & Peter were great making sure I had everything I needed, including car parking availability. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was basic but hot. I didn’t use the tv & nearby chair but they were available. The breakfast was good & I had a very tasty home-made steak pie & veg one evening. Plenty of pubs and curry restaurants nearby.

Beautiful views, lovely cafe’s and places to stay, the lakes as you drive through to Ambleside really made the journey. Even can just do as a nice day trip!

Windermere is such a beautiful place to visit, surrounded by peaceful scenery and incredible views. Walking near the lake was especially relaxing, and there are plenty of lovely spots to stop and enjoy the landscape. I’d recommend taking a boat trip if you have time, as it gives you a completely different view of the area. A wonderful destination for a relaxing day in the Lake District. 🌿⛵🏞️

Lancaster Castle has a history of more than 1,000 years. It has been through wars and has been rebuilt and revived. It is currently under repair. The tickets are quite expensive, but so are the prices of other items in Lancaster.
