Vallée de la Pétrusse

The Petros Canyon, also known as the Luxembourg Grand Canyon, is one of the world's famous scenic spots. It is about 100 meters wide and 60 meters deep, naturally dividing Luxembourg City into two urban areas, the new and old areas in the north and south. Constitution Square is the best place to view the Grand Canyon and the scenery on both sides. Opposite the Grand Canyon, there is a palace-like building located in the green, which looks particularly magnificent. It is the Luxembourg National Savings Bank. At its north end is a tall pointed round bell tower, and on both sides are medieval buildings with only roofs visible.

Pont Adolphe

The Adolphe Bridge, located in Luxembourg City, is a sturdy stone arch bridge spanning the Petrus Valley. Its greyish-white structure is quite substantial. Standing in the center, you can see the old town and treetops on both sides of the valley. Cars passing by in the adjacent lanes cause the bridge surface to vibrate slightly. Several walkways allow you to descend and admire the arches extending overhead. There's a viewing platform on the bridge, where tourists often lean against the railings to take photos. The bridge isn't very long, taking only a few minutes to walk across, but it's perfect for enjoying the scenery.

Casemates du Bock

Burke Fortress, located north of Luxembourg's Old Town, is a defensive fortification built into a rocky hillside, with tunnels extending deep within the stone walls. The internal passages are narrow, allowing one to hear footsteps and the sound of dripping water. Windows offer views of the entire valley. The ancient gun emplacements of the outer fortress remain in their original positions. The underground sections are cool, requiring an extra layer even in summer. Outside the fortress, there's a grassy area where people sit and sunbathe. The site itself isn't large, but it evokes the spatial feel of a former military defense.

Place de la Constitution

Constitution Square is located on the edge of Luxembourg City's Old Town. A golden monument stands in the center, its topped with a statue of a goddess that gleams in the sunlight. The square is paved with light-colored cobblestones, and benches line both sides, where tourists often sit and rest. Standing at the edge of the square, you can see the Petros Valley and the city across the river, with cars and trees casting shadows on the bridge. The square isn't large, but it offers a wide view, making it a good place to stop and enjoy the scenery. There's a small garden nearby, with a stone path leading into the shaded area, where it's very quiet in the afternoon.

Le Chemin de la Corniche

The Luxembourg Scenic Corridor stretches along the high ground at the edge of the old town, with ancient defensive walls and castle ruins on one side, and overlooking the Petrus Valley on the other. The stone pavement is worn smooth by time, and the branches of several old trees droop low above the path. Several viewing platforms are along the way, offering views of the green fields and winding paths at the bottom of the valley through the trees. At the end is the entrance to Burke Fortress, where the walls and fortress blend seamlessly. The afternoon light bathes the walls in a warm yellow hue, and as you slowly walk down the stone steps, you can hear the wind rushing up from the valley floor. The entire corridor takes about half an hour to walk.

Cathedral Notre-Dame of Luxembourg

The Luxembourg City Church of Our Lady is located in the city center, its spire visible from afar. The interior is Gothic in style, with dark-colored stained glass windows that let in slanted sunlight through the benches. On the north side of the church is a small chapel containing a statue of the Virgin Mary, where locals often light candles. The reliefs on the walls and the pipe organ have a distinctly aged feel. The church is surrounded by old city walls, and from the side, one can see the green trees of the valley. Occasionally, on weekends, the sound of a choir can be heard emanating from inside; you can also hear it from outside for a while.

Avenue de la Liberte

Liberty Avenue, located in the heart of Luxembourg City, is a clean and tidy street lined with trees, making it a pleasant place for an evening stroll. Along the way are several embassies and bank buildings, and the Bank Museum is just a short walk away. There are also some cafes along the street, with tables and chairs set up outside on warmer days. At the end of the street is the Adolphe Bridge, where you can see the old town across the gorge from the street corner. The street itself isn't bustling, but it's perfect for a leisurely walk, allowing you to soak in the city's tranquil atmosphere.

Grand Ducal Palace

The Grand Ducal Palace of Luxembourg is located in the city center. Its exterior is a greyish-white Renaissance-style building with delicate spires and decorative lines. Guards stand at the entrance, and the changing of the guard ceremony takes place in the morning. The interior is only open to the public during the summer; otherwise, it can only be viewed from the outside. Occasionally, tourists stop to take photos in the square. The building itself is not particularly grand and blends naturally with the surrounding old town architecture. The square is paved with cobblestones and is surrounded by cafes and shops, which are worth checking out as you pass by.

Butterfly Garden, Grevenmacher

Jardin Des Papillons is a botanical garden with many plants and insects. There are many butterflies, which are particularly beautiful and lively. There is also a souvenir shop at the entrance where you can buy plant-related products and refrigerator magnets. It is very interesting.
