My wife and I had such a delightful lunch that we came back the next day. A true bistro plucked from Paris. All the preparations were fresh &amp; yummy. The ceviche was terrific and a different presentation from the usual fare. The pat&eacute; is worth the trip alone. Promenade up Lexington on a beautiful spring morning and reward your trip with an ap&eacute;ritif and nosh.

Daniel&#39;s French cuisine feels good, the taste and service are worth remembering slowly, the food is great, this is not a wine list but the price is very reasonable, our friends said not to go, here are all people over 40, but we have not tried and watched so many praises come over.

This is a neighborhood restaurant for us and we enjoy it especially when we can dine outside. We usually start with one of their delicious salads(me) and grilled calamari (my husband). Then usually we have their thin crust pizza. I like the vegetarian with artichokes instead of zucchini, and my husband orders the portobello mushroom pizza and adds prosciutto on top. I&#39;ve also enjoyed their Tagliolini Ortomare (pasta with shrimp and artichokes in a light tomato sauce) or their Grilled Salmon. For dessert, my husband orders tiramisu. We also enjoy bringing family and out of town guests here here.

I, my husband, and other members of our family eat dinner here frequently (usually 2 -3 times per month). We have never had a bad meal. The chardonnay is wonderful. I usually order the blanca salad and grilled branzino, which comes with roasted veg and potatoes; it is one of my favorite fish dishes in NYC. The bread, which we request be toasted, is great and whenever they have the apple strudel, we order it. I have never had better apple strudel. The service is always welcoming and excellent. After reading some of the negative reviews, I wonder if this is the same restaurant.

Taking a late lunch break from a Sotheby&#39;s Auction, we did a quick check for restaurants within a few blocks, that had excellent reviews. Quoting a previous review, after dining here,Jean Claude&#39;s is a small, local neighborhood &quot;gem of a restaurant&quot;. Despite arriving at about 3:45 PM, shortly before they were to close for lunch, the staff &amp; owner were very accommodating to meet our every request and told us not to rush and to take as long as we needed to enjoy our lunch. And we did. The owner noted that they have two different Chefs. One for lunch and another for the dinner service. He noted both have their individual styles, and both are really good. He told us to come back someday for dinner to see the different creative style of the dinner chef. We plan to do it. For lunch, I ordered the classic French Onion Soup which was about as good as it gets. My lunch entr&eacute;e was a Hanger Steak (with a nice French Red) and it was delicious as well. The overall ambiance resembles a small French/NY Bistro-it was simply comfortable and we enjoyed the setting. The wine menu is somewhat limited (thus one of the small reasons I didn&#39;t give it an 5 rating), however we enjoyed a nice French Red with our lunch. As fair as price, it was more than fair deal for NY-I will certainly make this a regular stop for trips in the future in the Big Apple. It is indeed a nice gem of a find. I would recommend it for friends or business folks that like a casual setting with a nice &quot;laid back&quot; feel that serves very good food at a great price.

As a Brooklyn girl, I am rarely on the UES. However, East Pole is a destination that is worth the uptown journey. The food is delicious and inventive, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff is absolutely lovely.

Nice quaint restaurant, we had the prix fixe for lunch and enjoyed the French Onion soup with a chicken entree that had a delicious sauce. The service was very good, and the crusty bread basket wonderful! The server was very gracious. There is even outside seating. I would come back to try other dishes.

This is my mother-in-laws favorite place and she took us there for our last night in New York. I had the free-range chicken with organic veggies and a side of pumpkin puree. I love that there was an organic/free-range option on the menu. My husband had a scallops dish. Both were tasty. Everyone else enjoyed their meals, and the atmosphere reminded me of summers in Paris. We don&#39;t drink or eat sweets so couldn&#39;t comment on the wine list or the desserts other than they looked fantastic! ;)
