Cat in Yubeng Snow Mountain View Guesthouse

This place was the perfect base for my Yubeng trip, and the location is simply unbeatable. I could lie in bed and watch the breathtaking 'Golden Mountain in the Sun' phenomenon on Shennv Peak, and opening the window revealed panoramic views of Yubeng Lower Village. The changing scenery of the snow-capped mountains and the village, from day to night, became part of my room's vista. What truly impressed me was how thoughtful the owner was, understanding the needs of hikers. Upon check-in, I received a generous hiking supply kit, refreshing fruit, and even a ceremonial hiking medal, which instantly melted away the fatigue of my journey. After my hike, there was warm ginger tea to ward off the cold and a foot bath to soothe my tired muscles. Plus, a clingy little cat would snuggle on my lap, making all the altitude sickness and aches vanish in that moment. In the evening, sitting by the fire, chatting with pilgrims from all over about their travel stories, and listening to the wind and snow outside – that's the most captivating charm of Yubeng. Next time I visit Yubeng, this will definitely be my top choice again!

This guesthouse is located in the most remote part of Upper Yubeng, requiring a bit of extra walking. However, it also boasts the best views, offering panoramic sights of Baima Snow Mountain, Shennv Peak, Wuguan Peak, and Yingxiong Nü'er Peak. There's a large observation deck, with the accompanying pictures showing it in real life. The wooden floor of the deck has a slight wobble when you walk on it, which might be a minor issue for those trying to photograph stars at night. The facilities are a little old, but they all function perfectly fine and don't hinder usability. Service was excellent. Upon check-in, we received a medal and a supply kit. The room also came with a foot-soaking tub, which was a very thoughtful touch.

The environment is great, with a direct view of Shennv Peak. The basic facilities are also quite good.

After an 8-hour trek, I finally arrived at the guesthouse. I was initially worried about finding it, but the host, a lovely lady, stayed in touch with me from Lower Yubeng onwards, giving me very helpful directions, so I arrived without a hitch. As soon as I entered, she poured me a warm ginger tea (I felt a bit under the weather, but it made me feel much better!). She also gave me a resupply pack (with Coke, sausage, braised egg, bread, hand warmers, mugwort foot bath liquid, and glucose) and even a medal! Both hostesses were incredibly kind and welcoming. Once in my room, I hesitated about showering, worried the water on the mountain might not be hot enough and I'd catch a cold. But the water temperature was perfect! And hot water came out almost instantly. After a wonderful shower, I happily fell asleep. When I woke up, I was greeted by a snowy mountain view outside the window. Leaning by the window, I watched the 'golden sun illuminating the mountain,' and I absolutely loved this slow-paced life. It felt like I'd returned to a time before I was a 'toxic woman' (by the way, on the way up, fellow hikers coming down kept shouting 'keep going!' – I really felt the most genuine and sincere warmth between people). I enjoyed breakfast with a snowy mountain view at the guesthouse, washed my clothes in the washing machine, and then leisurely strolled around the village. In the afternoon, I had a freshly brewed coffee on the fourth floor of the guesthouse and even petted their six 'Hachimis' (cats)! A few of them were originally stray cats, and the guesthouse ladies kindly adopted them. This was a very satisfying stay. For anyone coming to Yubeng, choose them! It's definitely the best value-for-money hotel for scenic views! I'll be back next time!

The location was a bit hard to find, but the views were absolutely stunning. We spent two days at the B&B watching the 'Golden Mountain in the Morning Sun' and it was truly breathtaking. The hostess was incredibly thoughtful; she'd contact us beforehand with directions and send out daily breakfast and dinner menus for pre-ordering. The only downside was the extensive construction happening all around, which made it quite dusty. I hope once the construction is finished, the B&B will thrive even more.

An absolutely wonderful B&B. First, the location and views are unbeatable, directly facing the Goddess Peak. More importantly, the service made me feel the warmth of home after a tiring journey, making it the most unforgettable experience of my entire trip.
