Cleanliness and Facilities: Rooms and communal areas are described as impeccably clean, with daily maintenance and spotless bathrooms. Modern, tastefully designed accommodations include spacious layouts, comfortable beds, and well-equipped kitchens in some units, complemented by a tranquil atmosphere.

Special thanks to Rima and Angela as well as the cleaning team - you made our stay a unique experience - this is what paradise could feel like!

We booked a last-minute trip to Astypalea and debated between two hotels. Swayed by the views, we plumped for Anatoli Luxury Suites [a decision we didn’t come to regret!]. We were bowled over by the views overlooking the white-washed buildings of the Chora, Astypalaia Castle and the Aegean Sea stretching out for miles. From sunrise to sunset, it’s even more breath-taking in the flesh [photos simply cannot do it justice!]. Anatoli is exceptionally located – a stone’s throw from the Chora and the plethora of restaurants [Agoni Grammi was our favourite for affordable and authentic fare], the best café [Bokan Coffee House serves coffee that could rival Rome], the museum and Astypalaia Castle. We could walk everywhere which was ideal as we prefer to explore an island by foot [although the hotel and island are not particularly accessible to those with mobility issues]. The staff are exceptional – the cleaners went above and beyond and our room was spotless on a daily basis. What a credit to the business Aggeliki Karapidaki is too. Helming over our hotel for the duration of our stay, she went above and beyond, from smoothly arranging our transfer from the ferry port and meeting us there, answering any queries we had about the hotel and island and offering us such a warm welcome after an arduous four-hour ferry trip. She made fantastic suggestions for where to eat/drink. Most memorably, Aggeliki organised a sunrise boat trip to neighbouring islands Koutsomitis and Kounoupes at the very last minute – we’re incredibly grateful as it was one of our fondest memories of our time on the island. Our experience in Astypalea wouldn’t have been nearly as fantastic without her. Breakfast was delicious too – the cook makes one of – if not the – best homemade pies we’ve had in the Dodecanese to date. The menu was ever-changing and the savoury / sweet dishes would suit every palette. Perhaps the hotel’s greatest strength is how we had the best of both worlds – it’s the most ideal and tranquil setting to retreat from the scorching midday sun and a mere few minutes’ walk to the buzz of the Chora come sunset. The only criticisms would be that there only seemed to be hot water in the mornings and it’d have been ideal to have a kettle in our room. Aside from that, we couldn’t have had a better time in this hotel. The epitome of Grecian hospitality, we cannot recommend Anatoli enough. We hope to return.
