Qianhe Zhixuan High-View Hotel (Jiefangbei Hongyadong)

It’s a 5 star hotel with 3-star prices. Location is perfect as it’s near a major tube station in the biggest tourist area. Room is clean and has all amenities including a washlette toilet. Don’t waste hours online, for the price you won’t get better.

I had the best time at this hotel. The staff was super friendly. They upgraded our room for no reason the room was spacious clean. The bed was comfortable. The toilet was great. Close to pretty much everything! We walked to all main attractions. No in-house breakfast but that allowed us to explore the multitude of small vendors close by. Highly recommend all 3 of the restaurant’s across the road from the hotel. Great customer service. Daily room service and free tea/coffee/ice at reception. Highly recommend.

The location is very centralise and convenient. With an easy pickup point for didi/taxi. The amenities provided are very abundant too. Overall a very satisfactory stay!

I’m leaving an honest review of my stay at Qianhe Zhixuan High-View Hotel (Jiefangbei Hongyadong). Unfortunately, we did not like this hotel at all and it does not match the photos shown online. The first room we were given was extremely small, with no proper ventilation. The lighting was very poor, making the room dark and uncomfortable. The built-in lighting did not work, and the room was also quite dirty. The sink was placed right next to the door, which is very impractical and unsafe - if someone enters while you are washing up, the door can easily hit them. We immediately asked to change rooms. The staff kindly moved us to another room, which was slightly more spacious and had a bit more light, but overall it was still dark and not clean enough. There is no refrigerator in the rooms, even in the “better” one we were given. The laundry area also felt very strange and poorly designed - it is small, and the sofa is placed behind a wall in the laundry area, directly facing the room entrance. The only real positive is the staff. They are friendly, responsive, and try to help whenever possible. At one point, they even stored our food in their fridge, but this is not convenient for guests. There is also a coffee machine available at the reception, which is a nice touch. The hotel entrance is also confusing and does not match the photos. In the evenings, tables and chairs are set up outside and people gather there, which feels unusual. The hotel itself is located on the 21st floor, and the stairwell is freely accessible, which raises some safety concerns. Overall, this hotel does not meet 4-star standards and is in need of renovation. It was a disappointing stay, and I would not return again. Первый номер был очень маленьким, без нормальной вентиляции, с очень слабым освещением - было темно и неуютно. Подсветка не работала, в номере было грязно. Раковина находилась прямо у двери, что крайне неудобно и даже небезопасно - если кто-то заходит, можно легко ударить человека дверью. Мы сразу попросили заменить номер. Нам его поменяли, он был чуть просторнее и с немного лучшим освещением, но в целом ситуация не сильно улучшилась: всё равно было темно и заметно грязно. Холодильника в номерах нет, даже в «улучшенном» варианте. Лондри-зона показалась странной и неудобной: мало места, диван расположен за стеной лондри прямо напротив входа в комнату. Из плюсов - только персонал. Сотрудники очень стараются, идут на контакт и помогают. Один раз даже согласились убрать нашу еду в свой холодильник, но это не очень удобно для гостей. Также на ресепшене можно сделать кофе в кофеварке. Сам вход в отель тоже странный и совершенно не совпадает с фотографиями. Вечером рядом с входом ставят столы и стулья, проходят какие-то посиделки. Отель находится на 21 этаже, при этом лестничная клетка в свободном доступе, что вызывает вопросы по безопасности. В целом отель не соответствует уровню 4*, требует ремонта и обновления. Это было разочарование, и второй раз я бы сюда точно не вернулась. 🥹

We had a fantastic stay at Qianhe Zhixuan High-View Hotel (Jiefangbei Hongyadong). The location is absolutely perfect — right in the heart of Chongqing, with easy access to Jiefangbei, Hongyadong, and plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. What really stood out was the service. The staff were incredibly helpful throughout our stay and went above and beyond to assist us, even helping us book local attractions and giving great recommendations on where to go and what to see. It made exploring the city so much easier and more enjoyable. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, and the views were a great bonus. Overall, everything was smooth and well organized. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Chongqing — we would definitely stay here again

On the positive side, the hotel’s location is excellent. It is very strategically situated, within walking distance to public transportation and several popular tourist attractions, which made getting around the city extremely convenient. However, there were a few notable downsides. The waiting time for the lift was consistently long, and it was often overcrowded, especially during peak hours. This became quite inconvenient throughout the stay. The room size was also smaller than expected, which may not be comfortable for guests with larger luggage or those staying for a longer period. In addition, the “智能管家” (smart assistant system) in the room was malfunctioning and did not function as intended, which affected the overall experience. Overall the hotel is suitable for travelers who prioritize location convenience.
