Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc

The hotel is a bit old. They initially assigned me a room at the very end of the hallway, which I really didn't like. I went downstairs to change rooms, and they sent me to 6001. When I got there, I couldn't open the door. After waiting for 10 minutes, they told me to go to 8228. That room had an indescribable smell. I won't be staying here again. The service gets five stars because the hotel offered a free shuttle to the airport, saving me over 100 HKD on transportation.

The two-bedroom villa is amazing, the best choice for a family of four. Although we encountered a typhoon on our first day, with heavy wind and rain, it didn't stop my daughter from enjoying the pool.

Overall, the hotel isn't bad at all; there's nothing to complain about. The service is good, and breakfast is decent. However, I really missed having some Vietnamese character – it felt more like being in Turkey. Grand World also didn't impress me; the food prices were inflated, and most of the cafes weren't very good. We stayed at three hotels during our time on the island, and the Wyndham Grand and the north part of the island were my least favorite, even though they were more expensive.

The hotel is old, and there's a musty smell everywhere – in the hallways and the rooms. There were even geckos in the room, which was quite startling, and the sheets had stains. To top it off, the staff were very unreasonable and wouldn't let me check out.
