Novotel Phu Quoc Resort

I stayed for three nights, they didn’t clean my room till 3:30 pm. I thought that was kind a late to do the cleaning.

Overall, the experience was good. The staff were very nice and helpful, especially those in the kids’ room, who are clearly well-trained in taking care of children. The breakfast buffet was also excellent. However, I was disappointed with the facilities in my room: The bathtub in the room was basically unusable because of the limited hot water supply. After leaving the hot water on for about two minutes, it ran out, and even the hot water in the shower stopped. You then have to wait about an hour for hot water to be available again. The staff said it is limited to 50 litres, but I think it’s closer to 20. I ended up not using the bathtub at all (even though it is one of the selling points of the room), and showering as a family of four meant the last person had to use cold water. The beach in front of the room was dirty, with a lot of trash. The water itself was also dirty and felt greasy; it was even dirtier than the beaches in Hong Kong. I understand this is not the hotel’s fault, but I think people should be aware of this before coming to Phu Quoc.
