Zedwell Capsule Hotel Piccadilly Circus

Centre location, in Piccadilly Circus close to soho where all the bars and restaurants are located.

Its near piccadilly station, there is the piccadilly and bakerloo line, very convenient. Walking to buckingham, trafalgar, big ben, oxford street, westminister, national gallary, chinatown is very fast and easy. Stayed at the piccadilly zedwell the last time i came, but this time came alone so booked this. Security was quite strict, he needed to check your card before letting you in. I would not encourage but i left my stuff in the capsule without locking and went out. They do sell lock there but i just forgot to bring mine ans didnt want to buy, nothing was lost. The place is nice and clean, the ventilation in the capsule is also good, i thought it was going to be hot, but turns out i was a little cold in the middle of the night. The toilet was clean, except the water in the shower or sink are both very hot, i could even see steam. They have soap in the shower and sink, but i brought mine instead. They dont provide towel, so do bring one. Overall the experience was good and nice, will definitely be back again when i visit london again.

It’s OK to stay just for 1 night to catch next day train. I do not think I can stay more than 1 night in this “posh coffin’s” . Pro’s: good size bed suits 6 footers. Good ventilation in the cubicle. Con’s: Toilets smells of urine, showers floor unclean but more importantly the steps to the cocoon are trip hazard & I am surprised that they are allowed to designed it this way. My fifth time staying here and the worst stay yet. Firstly the light did not work in the capsule. This was reported and not fixed so the entire time was complete darkness. The pods are not sound proof. I’m not sure if this is possible but they have got less sound proof over the last few months. I do not recommend staying if you are on business. Constant noise from people coming back way past 1am means very uncomfortable night sleep

Really, good location with everything you need for a solo travel. I didn’t mind any sounds at night.

Overall you get what you pay for. The location is by far the best part of this accommodation, it is very easy to get anywhere in London from the hotel. The amenities were fine however the showers had a really weird smell. My biggest issue was the temperature of capsule overnight. I had a pretty rough sleep due to how hot it got in the capsule.

I really liked the bed linen at this hostel. It really is, as advertised, very high-quality and comfortable. That's where the positives end. There's a line in the lobby that will make you miss at least 30 minutes of your vacation or stay, which is a good idea if you're expecting to wait in line only when checking in. Don't think so. The toilets and showers are always foul-smelling and dirty. There's NO AIR CONDITIONING in your "cocoon" (as they call your bed), and it's summer now, even if you open the curtain and try to let some fresh air in, it won't work because the hallways are also very stuffy. Good luck getting a good night's sleep. You only see the staff at check-in, and they're very arrogant and indifferent. I absolutely do not recommend this type of accommodation.

If the signs showing direction is bigger or clearer, that would be better. Even the lights inside the bed rooms should be dim, the hall way could be light up a little bit and that may be easier to find the way.

Bring along bike chain but No handle / hook to lock the luggage case . Everyone just left luggage case on the floor. I felt unsafe and no lock of the door. I didn’t stay and left the capsule hostel.
