Architect's Cat Hanok - Sindal House Gyeongju

The exterior of the property is well-maintained and interesting, but honestly, there are just too many things that need improvement. From mold in the bathrooms to the lack of large towels for showering. The worst part is sleeping on a futon mattress without sheets, which is really unhygienic!!! In the refrigerator (self-service breakfast), you'll find expired milk... more attention to detail is definitely needed.

A truly authentic place. Sleeping on the floor turned out to be quite comfortable. It's very close to all the attractions and the bus stop. The hosts are incredibly kind and polite. The atmosphere itself is very pleasant and cozy. If I come back to this city again, I will definitely choose this place!

This was my first trip to Gyeongju, and I had a great stay at this accommodation. I booked it because they have cats, and the little ones didn't even shy away from people! So adorable. The bathroom was a bit small, but perfectly fine for one person to shower. The bedding and towels were also clean. Since it's a Hanok (traditional Korean house), soundproofing isn't its strongest suit, but I'm the type who sleeps well even with noise, so I slept soundly. They also provided earplugs for the number of guests, so it's a good idea to use them if you need them. There's a bus stop right in front of the hotel that goes to Gyeongju Station, so I didn't have to drag my luggage far. The bus terminal and Hwanglidan-gil were also close by, making it easy to plan my travel routes.

Let me start by saying we only stayed for one night. I really wanted to experience a traditional hanok, but I was worried about noise and the potential discomfort of sleeping on the floor. Yet, I was pleasantly surprised! First of all, everything was spotless (like all of Korea). The lady who welcomed us was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional. Outside each room, there's the guest's name, and inside you'll find everything you need, even earplugs for sleeping (though we didn't need them as we heard absolutely nothing). Directly opposite us was a room where we could go and spend time with the residence's cats. There's also a rooftop for smokers. The area is very convenient for public transport to the station and close to the heart of the nightlife, with all its small bars and shops. We had a fantastic time and would have happily stayed for more nights. Thank you so much for everything!

This hotel boasts a great location, right across from the express bus terminal. It's tucked away in an alley just off the main street, surrounded by charming Hanok cafes and restaurants. The room was cozy. Even though it was May, it was a chilly, drizzly day, so I really appreciated the warm ondol floor, which helped me sleep soundly. I was a bit surprised by how compact the toilet and shower area at the back of the room was, but the hot water supply was excellent and everything was kept very clean, so I felt comfortable using it. They also offer a simple breakfast. Regarding luggage storage, it's more like leaving your bags in a designated area rather than a secure storage facility. So, if you're concerned, it's advisable to bring a lockable suitcase.

Seriously not worth the price. My husband booked it, and we couldn't cancel, so we just went. I regret it so much. Always double-check your reservations and research places thoroughly before booking. My husband apparently booked it for the breakfast, but all they had was toast, which was just ridiculous. I really don't recommend going based on pictures alone.

The location is perfect! It was convenient to get around, and the accommodation itself was comfortable and great.
